It wasn't the game we deserved. It wasn't the drops we wanted. It wasn't the injuries we needed. But it was what we got.

Even through it all it seemed like our biggest problem was ourselves. Turnovers, drops, poor execution.

Womack, Brendel and Givens had some ROUGH games, IMO. We need to get healthy and get healthy quick and quit shooting ourselves in the freaking foot.

Thanks for the post warriors game material tonight! Hate the way we lost, but at least it's our own fault and we can HOPEFULLy get our heads out of our behinds and turn this ship around ASAP

it's always our fault, that is the issue
Was getting a couple Marcell Harris flashbacks with Womack last game

Yup. Every loss outside of the NFC title game since The 2nd Cards game.

that is a good mindset to have.

the building blocks of success are there, just have to clean it up.

The base defense as it existed show promise, not too darn bad for missing like a billion starters.

Jimmy G looks like a new man, and the line looks like it could be functional.

This team can improve.
It's disappointing, but I can understand backups & 3rd Stringers playing like backups and 3rd stringers. They'll lose Kyle's trust, so that's on them to get even less playing time or passes thrown their way.

But Jonny you seemed to downplay Jimmy missed deep throw to Aiyuk. Brandon had his man beat for a potential TD, but Jimmy under threw it. That potential TD was needed in this kind of a game.

As well as that fourth down pass to Deebo who was clearly covered. Even if they are playing zone, shouldn't Jimmy have went to the next option which is Aiyuk that was behind him open for a 1st down?

I don't feel Jimmy played well or good. He had some good plays, and had two key drops that could've been big plays....he played like Jimmy.... . but still, I would hope he could get some points in the second half when he STILL has a Deebo, Aiyuk, and Kittle. Few teams have those kinds of weapons. The fact we didn't get any points in the second half is just worrying.

Going into this game, it was obvious that our offense needed to help our defense out. And I don't feel they did. Bad on bad was expected from the defense. They had backups, and didn't have the opportunity to keep the dline fresh like usual.
I thought the throw to Aiyuk was fine deep down the sideline, but wouldn't have been more ideal to lead him a bit more upfield so it wouldn't completely take him out of bounds? if that was a shot that landed in the endzone then hell yeah.

either way Jimmy had a nice deep ball game. which he has surprisingly been consistent with as of late.

Here's my biggest issue with the RayRay drop, and it's something I've seen a lot of from receivers across the league. Everybody wants to catch a ball in stride these days and keep running. Nobody tries to lay out for catches like guys used to. If RayRay lays out for that, it's most likely a catch.

End old man rant

thanks for this. Like others have been saying the plays are there, they just need to execute….makes things much harder when it's backups do it.

First, that deep ball, you can't expect a pinpoint throw on 50+ yards. I watch BUF and KC's tape and those kind of routes are thrown just like that a ton. Tyreek went and made catches on balls like that and even more underthrown all the time. If a receiver requires his QB to put a ball in a trash can that far downfield, that's unrealistic. If you look back on it, Jimmy is throwing as Aiyuk is breaking.

On the last play, those weren't my words, I took that from Kyle's presser. He said they were expecting man and had a man beater called and they came with zone. The bigger issue are the 2 plays before it. That's why I focused on those. Shouldn't even come down to the 4th down play.

Yeah I'm actually really excited about it now because I've passed the trial phase. They required a certain amount if uses of the promo code to get full time sponsored and I just hit that threshold yesterday woooot!
