There's no evidence for this whatsoever.
People said the same thing at 3-5 last year. Wasn't true then, either.

Today was the most yards per play allowed by the 49ers defense since Kyle Shanahan/John Lynch took over in 2017, by *a ton*:

1. vs Kansas City, 2022: 9.1
2. at Green Bay, 2018: 7.4
3. vs Dallas, 2017: 7.2

Read an article, signing McCaffrey is Super Bowl or Bust" Guess this means bust…
Is 100% bust. The O-line is not good enough, so it doesn't matter who the RBs are. Running the ball has always been our bread and butter, have you not noticed we can no longer run the ball effectively this season? Also, I don't know what happened to all the sweeps and misdirection? Is almost like Kyle couldn't be bothered. Is time to get back to basics to fix the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball first, but we have blown all our picks on CMC.
The other thing is, perhaps less immediate, at some point we will have to start thinking about how this Kyle Shanahan experiment is going?
McCaffrey is not just a 2022 move when he's signed through 2025.
Looking forward to seeing McCaffrey/Deebo/Kittle/Aiyuk/Juice/Mitchell playing with Lance in 2023.
With Peyton or Day as head coach
Shanahan ain't going anywhere.

the teams we face after this game are not as good as advertised. We sneak into the playoffs is my prediction.
we got smacked. It's a long season though. Look no further than last year. Happy Sunday all.

Well it's a QB driven league and we just don't have one. Simple as that.
Yep our QB gave up 43 points today. The D lost this game.
Our offense can't match point for point? Yup blame the D. I know what I saw, a healthy offense that can't score TD's.
You give up 43 points in the NFL you are losing 95% of the time.

That's why they're true contenders along with Buffalo.
but an offense with Deebo, Kittle, CMC, Aiyuk, Juice SHOULD be able to hang

That could be a huge mistake. This is his 6th year already. Is time to to do a deep dive and not be blinded by the Shanahan name.
When even the Giants are 6-1, you really have to think about the difference in coaching.
Originally posted by 49ersRing:Lol, oh just 80 percent.. now you're being too nice now. I thought it was 99 percent for a minute. Safety when the defender barelling on him from behind. Let's not forget the few times he got smack. Meanwhile Mahomes didn't get touched til the Bosa sack along with with the D giving 6 TD along with a couple of back breaking long third down conversions. GTFO here.

AnYONE putting this loss solely on Jimmy can kiss my ads.
This is all Shanahan and demeco.
It's not solely on Jimmy. Just 80% or so.
Lol 44 points is Jimmys fault. Dumbest fanbase in all of sports.
seriously the defense completely crumbled, its on them 100%
and im not saying jimmy was great or anything
The defense didn't give up 44 points. 2 of them came from the unforced safety that Jimmy decided to take. Can't pin it all on the defense and it was always unrealistic to think they'd hold Mahomes to under 40 points.
