Like the guy wearing the M on his hat who came by this week for the 10 yr anniversary?
The ownership doesn't seem to do too well with those type of coaches who aren't PC, kiss up to management, and demands greatness from men.
I was surprised watching the post game locker room interviews and our guys had no "fire". I didn't see anyone that was angry or wanting to get better. The reaction was nonchalant, it is what it is , we need to get better and watch the tape.
When we had true championship teams, the leaders would have player only meetings and demand improvement (Lott, Willis, Rice). This current group counts their checks and they will see you in a few days for meetings.
Harbaugh was a damn good coach. Sucks Jed felt intimidated by him and cut ties. Look at John Harbaugh in Baltimore. Keeps that team competitive year in and year out. If Jim was coach, lord knows where we would've been…
Was not Jim's offense largely 3 runs and a cloud of dust? Outside one year with Kaepernick I don't recall Harbaugh doing anything special with the offense. It relied on defense to carry the offense, not much different than Kyle.
Sorry man, Jim had to go as well. He was not innovative, demoralized the team after his schtick ran dry and had no ability to adapt to the game.

Is next week a must-win?
Idk if this team can comeback down 3-5 like last season. Being 4-4 going into the bye with a sweep over the Rams and a win against Seattle would be massive. 3-5 with a split series against LA and down 1-2 games in the division in third place would be really rough.

Let's blame John York while we're at it. Or John York's father, and his father, and his father… and so on.

Harbaugh couldn't draft his way out of a paper bag, also he failed to develop Kap.

They will beat the Rams, and they will beat the Chargers, IMO.

we should've canned Jimmy this offseason. The hell with where he would have signed. I'm sorry to say he's a cancer for this offense and his play (or lack thereof) is metastasizing to the rest of the team. It's only exacerbated by the lackluster play calling Kyle provides, including his p***y mentality to put up FGs against an offensive juggernaut.so damn frustrating.
Yup. Careful though you may provoke his fans who think he is the messiah. They will cite his locker room prowess and his meaningless win loss record. These tend to be the same fans who adamantly claim that Kyle's winning percentage is meaningless.. go figure. Jimmy is not built to win when it matters. Games like this expose him. He will either lose the game or not, but he will never WIN the game. Kyle also contributes to his poor performance- run game was strong early yet he has jimmy throwing more than is advisable. CMC on the sideline in the red zone. ?? Results- field goals and interceptions. Jimmy and Kyle belong on the next bus out of Santa Clara. Twiddle and twiddle dumb…

Saddest thing about this game that DrEll was right all along ohh boyyyy
Just finished watching this game on DVR due to having to coach my own football game (which we won in the playoffs). You loving Jimmy now? All you folks out there who declare Jimmy gives this team the best chance to win take a good whiff of the last 2 weeks.
As a lifelong fan I'm absolutely disgusted at what I just watched, for a litany of reasons. I don't put this on the defense. I put this on the offense, firstly on Jimmy and his inabilities. Can't throw deep, barely even threaten with him. No pocket presence. Inconsistent accuracy. As for Shanny I'm putting this on him, and on his philosophy most. I really think he's been figured out, yet he's stubbornly keeping with his over-emphasis on the run game, in spite of the league gift-wrapping the rules of the game for the offense. All these weapons on offense, yet you're STILL a run-heavy team. Now, with Jimmy at QG I can somewhat understand. But I still have to put that on Shanny because he wanted Jimmy G., now he's living with him. Jimmy is no starting QB.
At this point, I have no faith this team will be a playoff team. At this point, I have no faith in the offense. At this point, I have no faith in the HC's philosophy. At this point, I have no faith this team can score points. I have TOTALLY lost faith in Mike McGlinchey. At this point, I have no faith in Shanny's ability to adjust in-game nor his ability to overcome his own stubbornness and arrogance.
You know, I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, the "Show Me State". Right now, I'm in full blown prove-it-to-me mode. It's time for Shanny - the golden boy - to prove it. All this talk of his brilliance, of how smart he is, etc, it's time for him to prove it. He's loaded offensively with weapons. Personally, I think his philosophy's weaknesses are being exposed for all the world to see.
At this point, I have no faith this is a playoff team. Looking at the 2nd half of this season, who this team has a QB, and the HC coaching philosophy, I'm having a hard time finding a path to the playoffs.

He did the best he could with the tools provided. Baalke drafted a decent D, added all pros like Justin Smith and we had a true tough D. They would not be constantly pushed around like our top on paper D of today.
As for the offense they utilized their strength which was Frank Gore and their O line. Alex Smith was limited, Kaep was only good when Harbaugh could read Defenses for him. After Harbs left Kaep had no vision by himself and transitioned to activist.
He was a damn good situational coach and would always do those little gimmick plays where a TE shifts to draw the opposing D offsides. He was always good for those things and would regularly get extra downs. He seemed to always win those close games. Roman his OC was cute at times, like the SB, and Harbs should have moved him.

Lets face it, no team in the NFC is better than KC or BUF on offense. I don't think there a D that can stop them.
