SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS vs KANSAS CITY CHIEFS - 2022 Game 7

I'm at a loss for this performance. 😕 This team should never get blown out. Too much talent on the Defense. Too much talent on Offense. Jimmy is the weak link. Kyle continues to not look like a genius. Please stop calling him that. I think Kyle has reached his ceiling in the Bay Area. In 6 seasons, I have not seen his offense put up the numbers he did in Atlanta. Matt Ryan and Jimmy are not that different from each other. He made Matt a MVP but cannot make Jimmy a Pro Bowler. 🤦

Matt Ryan had a much better skillset than Jimmy. If you complied all of Jimmy's best games into one season, it still wouldn't be close to Matt's MVP season. Julio Jones helped for sure. Ryan is pretty average now in his later years though.

How can you defend a post that said, "When everything goes wrong it's on Kyle"

and then say the players hold responsibility too.

That's what I don't get.

I get the GM Kyle criticism, I really do, But it's really hard to blame that when we probably have the most pro bowlers in the league. We have a young offensive line that is causing a lot of issues. If that's your criticism I get it. But these players need to execute the damn calls. I don't get the sense that our game plan sucks or that the players aren't motivated to play.

Players do have responsibility but the HC holds them accountable and he chooses the players bud:

I'd add when everything's going right, Kyle's a genius. You have to maintain that same evaluation criteria when everything goes wrong.

Season 6, year 7 if you include the off-season, he has to be more accountable than just for coaching.

Those stats when trailing going into the 4th quarter do not lie.

Not defending Kyle here, but what exactly is the record for the rest of the league?

I'm sure it's not as bad as 1-30, but it's still probably pretty bad. This just in, teams losing after 3 quarters are also often losing after 4!

I've asked this question like four different times on separate forums and still don't have an answer lol

Saddest thing about this game that DrEll was right all along ohh boyyyy

I got a timeout from the mods for "excessive negativity".

all I was doing was pointing out the obvious. KC was leagues better than us, and anyone that thought otherwise was smoking the pipe. We weren't just exposed. We were put in our place. Imagine if the team went on a run and cruised through the weak NFC to a SB matchup against KC, Buffalo, or Baltimore ? We'd get our asses creamed similar to the beating we gave Denver in 1989.

sorry this team is weak. The defense isn't as bad as it looked today but the offense is putrid. Jimmy holds the team back. Kyle can't get out of his own way with the bland play calling and same old p***y coaching putting up FGs against an offensive juggernaut.

it was an ASS RAPING that was blind to happen. Surprised a lot of you were convinced that we were world beaters

Mostly agree with you. The defense is better than it played today, though I do think there were coaching issues and DeMeco relies far too much on talent over scheme.

Jimmy flat out is not a QB that can consistently lead an NFL caliber roster. Team can get hot and make a deep run, but Jimmy won't be the reason for that. He is far, far too limited and the team needs to move on.

Signing Jimmy this offseason was a mistake. I said the team should move on last year and I stand by that. Even in wins this season he's been mostly mediocre to maybe above average. So yeah, in the exact same spot I was last year, just want to move on and be done with the Jimmy thing. It's excruciatingly boring and the team loses the same damn way time and time again.

If they didn't sign Jimmy, then we would be rolling with Purdy. Jimmy or not, trey is unavailable.
So Jimmy G gave up a 34 yrd screen pass on 3rd down and 20 lol?

No, but he threw a interception in the RedZone.

Jimmy couldn't hold a prime Matt Ryan jockstrap, Ryan was taking 3rd overall for a reason. Even before he had Kyle he was a really good qb and if Ryan was near Jimmy's level that 12' NFC championship game wouldn't have been close even with a prime Julio. A beyond ridiculous comparison
We were still in it up until Kittles TD.

We always seem to run out of ideas and punch in the 4th quarter….. Although all game U had the impression that we could get blown out.

Tiday we lost to a better team and a better coach.

way too many penalties again.
Biggest differences in this game. KC connected on several deep passes and were highly efficient in the redzone. We had no deep game and sucked in the redzone.

That's about the softest thing I've ever heard. And 100% can guess the mod who did it.

Or Sudfeld. If we're going to stink it up this season, I'd rather do it knowing there was something different. Watching the same movie over and over is getting ridiculous. You know the definition of insanity right ? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

But it might. Keeping the status quo guarantees mediocrity
