I do believe they get a comp 3rd roud pick for McDnaiel hire
Another 3rd round comp pick my memory fails me?

What FA left that would potentially give a few more comp picks

Wow that is more than I expected. This makes the McCaffrey trade easier to understand. The Niners have enough picks if above is true to hopefully find some gems and get depth. Scouting will be even more important.

Honeself, the 2023 draft favors us. I'm not as dramatic about the 49ers blowing 1st round picks, but Ray Charles could see from the grave that we do fantastic on days 2 and 3. We are good on the 2023 draft. And I'm expecting picks in 2024 for McGlinchey and maybe a couple others .
If our defense doesnt pick it up, we may not get one for Ryans.

If Jimmy continues to play like he did yesterday, we may not get a high one for Jimmy.

Jimmy gets us a 4-5th. 3rd is highly unlikely now.
How does Jimmy's play/injury effect our compensation now?

I assume the highest compensation (3rd round) is only if Jimmy is starting for another team and finishes the season as the starter?

Also, what are all of our draft picks with our comp picks for 2023?

Don't we get an extra 5th from the dolphins with the Jeff Wilson trade

Yup and an extra comp 3rd this year AND next if Ryan's gets a head coaching job

In 2024 we will be getting high comp picks for Mike McGlinchey and Jimmie Ward but I expect one of those to be cancelled out with a free agent signing (hopefully RT)

FA starting OTs are $$$$$$$$$$$$. We would be better off resigning McGlinchey. Right now the best RT FA is Jawan Taylor of Jax and he is nowhere near as good as Mc.

I expect to see McKivitz as the starter next year.

Yup. I can't see us signing a FA tackle. Go in house and draft a rookie as well. Id try to keep Ward and Gipson however- somehow.

Correct, but the Jimmy pick won't come until 2024.
We pick best in the mid to late rounds anyway. That's where 90% of our stars come from. So another good draft. LOL. Other than Bosa and perhaps a few others a lot of our big mess ups come in the early rounds.

With Jimmy more than likely gone in FA won't we get a comp pick for him this year?

You guys make me laugh. Glinch is the perfect fit in the Shanahan system. He is the best run blocking right tackle in the NFL bar none. Nobody is better. Nobody. Is he the best pass blocker? No. And he probably never will be. But the 49ers aren't getting rid of Glinch. That would send a horrible message to the rest of the team.

Whether they can sign him or not and still keep Bosa will be the issue. The 49ers will face a lot of those "issues" in the coming years and the choices the team will have to make will not be easy. You can't keep everybody.
