SF 49ers vs Chargers Pregame Thread - 2022 Season Week 10

I'm curious how much Kittle will have to hold McGlinchey's hand tomorrow. If that dude is left 1on 1 vs Khalil Mack, I expect Mack to take his lunch money, sleep with his girlfriend, kick his dog and burn down his house.

That is very graphic.

He's given up the 4th most sacks in the league and is going against one of the best pass rushers. I'll gladly eat my words if he improves, but how many do you think he'll give up tomorrow?

"McGlinchey has given up five sacks on the season, tied for the 4th-most in the NFL. He's allowed 14 pressures and has committed four penalties this season."

"People love talking about Mike McGlinchey's struggles [been reading your post it seems], but Mike's had a really solid year for us," Lynch told NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco during an upcoming episode of the "49ers Talk" podcast.

Two of those sacks came during the 49ers' deflating loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, something Lynch noted as somewhat of an anomaly game for McGlinchey when speaking with The Athletic's Tim Kawakami.

"It's been solid, consistent," Lynch said on "The TK Show" while discussing McGlinchey's season once again. "He had one bad half, tough half, against the Chiefs and [defensive tackle] Chris Jones, who's an All-Pro player.

You gotta adjust for QB play are they really sacks allowed if JG is holding the ball? He's gotta get it out.

You don't come across as someone who would eat their words, though.

A cheap shot eh? At McG and myself. You're just talking negative about everyone it seems.

So his stats don't count because some came in the same game? Or against the same player? I don't get where you're going with this.

And yes, they really are sacks allowed.

A cheap shot? Grow up dude. I made a statement of FACT. You laughed it off saying it wasn't true. After I proved it, you decided your opinion supersedes fact. Grown men just admit when they are wrong and move on.

And yes, they really are sacks allowed.

MM has been charged with 4 sacks in the last 2 games. Not really defending MM but he was charged with a sack in the LAR game that didn't really make any sense. Jimmy tried to escape the pocket up the middle and got sacked by the DL that Banks was engaged with.

After a 2nd look at the sacks in the rams game. None of the O lineman were charged with a sack on the play I mentioned above. But the second sack by Floyd that was charged to MM looked like a poor protection call as Floyd was showing he was dropping back into coverage and blitzed late and no one picked him up.
