Who holds this offense back more?

HC is limited by his QB, but it's not like our current QB is poop

I believe the current poll numbers, 53% JG, 47& KS are pretty accurate.

To some extent, the perception of the offense is driven by fantasy numbers and the league bias for passing over running. Kyle clearly, CLEARLY, prefers to run the ball and that limits the scoring. Even when they are winning, a running team is not going to score as much as a winning passing team. Consequently, when the opponent limits the run game, it is going to be seen as an offensive failure even though the team wins...as per yesterday.

Agreed, Poll numbers are perfect example of its not one or the other. Both fail us often.

Zero to do with the defense not being scared of the passing game?

Nothing to do with passing.

Google the following and the offenses they played on:

Eric Dickerson, 1984.
Adrian Peterson, 2012.
Jamal Lewis, 2003.
Barry Sanders, 1997.
O.J. Simpson, 1973.
Walter Payton, 1977.
Chris Johnson, 2009.
Eric Dickerson, 1986.
Ricky Williams, 2002.

Or better yet...maybe you remember Frank Gore in 2006?

I voted Jimmy and it's not even close. With all these weapons it would be hard for any coach to mess it up if the QB was elite. At the end of the day it's the players job to execute and nobody touches the ball more than the QB. Jimmy is just not good enough to move the ball down the field drive after drive. He will have a couple of decent drives and a few good passes and then follow it up with some bad drives and bad passes. And because of this it's hard to have an explosive offense that scores at will. Jimmy is a decent QB but he is not an elite QB. So how are you expected to have an elite offense?

How many Elite qbs are there?

It's a small club.
Said it before and no prob saying it again.. guess who picks the QBs.. KS.

So if you don't like JG.. you have KS to thank.

There is a reason he is a backup now.

His health history and Trey's price tag.

To me it speaks to KS and the clubs QB talent eval. Remember, they gave up a pick and paid this man $137m, which was record money at the time. It's the best KS has been able to do at the QB position in 6 yrs.

Agreed. He was vastly overpaid. But the way he came in and won no one can blame them for getting fooled.
KS. Jimmy isn't perfect but he's better than Kyle allows him to be. Dude is only allowed to throw past five yards when it's 3rd and long and the whole world knows it.

I'd throw playoff performance in there as well.
david lombardi said that kyle needs to trust jimmy more now, and open up the passing game. that jimmy is playing great football and defenses are committing to stop the run. i tend to agree with this. if we pass to set up the run more, there will then be a point where we can strike that perfect balance in time for the playoffs.
Both but probably more the QB cuz he's limited.
yo momma

That's fair, but the playoff performances haven't all been on JG. He hasn't played well by any means but he also not being put in situations to play well.

Kyle calls pass plays based off of our runs when in playoffs wasn't running great and them pass plays weren't working. He made no adjustments to his game plan.

Exactly how I feel. Though not sure I'd say great. Nonetheless I think this is the best version of Jimmy we've had.
