Who holds this offense back more?

I'm going with Shanny…I loved him when he came here, and I love all the scheming he does. But on the other hand all scheming, from 10,000 ft , all happens before the snap.

I don't watch the film, so I only see the TV cut, but it just seems like our drives are so difficult. I don't see the great shanny, scheming route combos to get wr's open..other than a deep dig off of play action, our receivers never have easy pitch and catch.

imo, it seems if the pre snap scheming, motion, pulling lineman etc..doesn't work to our advantage, then post snap, it seems Shanny relies on our "playmakers" to make a play, back yard type stuff. 3rd and long it's a bubble screen to deebo to see if he can break some tackles…or it's an out route to Jennings on 3rd…if I can see these things on TV, I know DC's sees it…there are times I will call the play before it happens, bc shanny calls the same 5/7 plays over and over again.

I'm going with Right side of O-line. How many times this season have we seen McGlinchey beat only to kill the series. And whats up with rotating the RG, just leave the best O-lineman in there, ride or die.

i swear i think people watch highlights of other teams then just watch the whole game for us. We are top 5-6 in 3rd down conversion %, one of the most yards/drive, yards/play, TOP %

by most metrics we are a top 5 offense right now and we are complaining?

the one thing we have to fix is red zone TD% which we are in the middle of the league which i think will get better with the addition of CMC

Yeah it's been kind of wild seeing some of these takes being bandied about the social media sphere, don't recall fans ever being so unhappy with a win. I think that second half of the rams game got people a little too worked up. To your point about RZ%, that is something this offense has been traditonally good at and I do expect those numbers to go up. Would be people be this worked up if BA brings in that catch in the RZ last game?
How many coaches have a winning playoff record with a QB that throws more interceptions than touchdowns and averages 137 YPG?

I lean more towards Jimmy but this is a fair explanation of Kyle's role in this. We get the justification, but sheesh. Its an embarrassment of talent.

There's coaches that have a top 5 QB in the NFL and they can't even get past the first round in the playoffs. There's no real formula, its all team when you're in the playoffs.

Team and coaching, sure. You can't convince me for a second that Jimmy is winning those games despite Kyle's coaching, when he boasts numbers that smell that bad. And saying that they are winning as a TEAM is as great a compliment you could give Shanny.

Loading the box with 8 defenders almost every play is not playing the pass.

So this is about Jimmy then. Its plain and simple in the 49ers case, Kyle is not getting to the Super Bowl in 2019 without Jimmy and he's also not getting to the NFCC in 2021 without Jimmy too. And Jimmy is not getting to both of those games without Kyle. So not sure what the beef is with either side.
It seems like they aren't getting as many long YAC plays as they used to. They still get a lot but we're not seeing the 25 yard+ plays. More like 10-15. The defenses have seen thus offense enough now that they are defending it a little better. Other teams are playing similar schemes so it's not the explosive surprises we saw a couple of years ago. Remember those long TD runs that Breida, Mostert and Deebo broke. We aren't seeing those now.

I don't know where you get that. Seems like it would be pretty easy to find a QB that averages 137/game and throws more ints than TDS…

By most metrics we are a top 10 or top 5 offense. Under KS, we've finished in the top 5 in yards per play in 3 out of the previous 5 seasons and never below 15th.

The problem is that we're only around 20th in Points Per Game right now, which is ultimately what matters.

If there is any limitations, he's done it to himself. Period.

I like how you said period. Welp guess this discussion is over

Sorry, damn auto-correct. It was supposed to say, "NC is on his period."
