SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS vs ARIZONA CARDINALS - 2022 Game 10

Then they're not contenders. If they can't beat McCoy, they'll have no chance against high caliber QBs. Might as well forget about the playoffs.

We got shredded by McCoy last year and still made nfccg so....
I wonder if Hollywood Brown plays on Monday?

I think that's a big question here. Supposedly he did individual work and "looked good" whatever that means. They don't have to give any injury updates on him and can activate him last minute to play on Monday.

My suspicion is AZ knows the season is on the line for them and they go all out - Murray, DHop, Brown all play and start.

If both quarterbacks are hobbled, I'd rather take my chances against McCoy knowing that our pass rush has a better chance at getting to him. We've seen what mobile QBs can do to us (Mariotta anyone ?), so why be the team that revives Murray's fledgling season and give Zona hope for the division title ? Lets face an injured McCoy with a busted knee and keep our undefeated division record which will play a huge factor in playoff seeding.

McCoy is similar to Jimmy in that he can get rid of the ball super quickly though. Murray holds onto the ball too long and his banged up all the same.

Somehow I have a feeling we see both QBs.

Go, Niners, go!
Rather face Murray. He f**king suckks. He pulls a couple plays out of his ass. It doesn't make him a great qb.
In what world we live with where we rather play a first overall pick than a journey man back up? Lol in that case I'm on the I rather face Murray boat, McCoy seems to know what he's doing and just most of the time makes the right read and gets the ball out quick. I also expect this team to be much better and ready overall if it is him
If we don't miss a buch of tackles on short throws like last season, McCoy isn't much of a threat. While Murray can extend plays with his legs, he tends to drift back when the pocket collapses from the edges which leaves him vulnerable for huge sack losses. Not really worried about their offense all that much.

If our offense can play a clean game; no turnovers, minimize the penalties and drops. We should be able to put up at least 27 on this defense. That should be enough to come away with the W.

I'm 100% with this.

Agreed. We lost twice last year because 1) we couldn't convert 4th and short, and 2) we had multiple turnovers after long drives.

We don't do that, and we should be good.
The Niners are better on both sides of the ball. As long as they don't get called for too many penalties they should win no matter who the QB is. If they lose this game it's one more indication that they aren't a real SB contender. It's the start of the 2nd half of the season and it's time to get on a roll and string some wins together and take some momentum into the playoffs.

Will we hear non-stop noise ala a soccer game? Or did that expire in the 90's?
