Has the eagles played against any elite defense?

They beat Dallas. Not quite as elite as ours, but right below.
Dallas hasn't played anyone either.. all hype like the Dolphins

I only say this because 1. Eagles have the Best offensive line in the NFL, 2. We usually do poorly against Mobile Qbs, 3. Combine that with us being last in the NFL on short yardage downs up the middle. It could be a long day for our defense since the eagles go for it alot on 4rd and short.

Now that being said I would still be taking a 35-21 49ers game

That short yardage stat has been without Armstead and Kinlaw. Armstead has been back for a few weeks now and Kinlaw is supposed to be back next week. So that short yardage stat could really be a thing of the past real soon.

The Eagles are legit, and they're set up to be that way for the long-haul assuming Hurts isn't a flash in the pan. What were the Saints thinking trading them what appears to be a top 5 pick for a WR?

Agreed, I just don't believe in trading #1s for non-QBs/linemen no matter how good they are/become.
We are a Vikings loss away from the #2 seed and with us securing the #3 seed it is almost impossible for us to play the cowboys first.

We will most likely end up playing the Commanders or Giants with an outside chance of playing the seahawks or lions

we will be hosting one of the 4 teams above

Can we get to Phili for the NFCCG without playing the cowboys?

yes highest seed plays lowest seed

so as playoffs stand now if all the top seeds apart from Cowboys (who would have to beat the Bucs) win the Eagles would play the Cowboys but we would have to go to Minnesota.

Same thing holds true for if we get the #2 seed

so the short answer to is as long as Minnesota wins we will not have to play Dallas at all till the NFCG

I have a tingle in my pants if Dallas plays Philly in the divisional round, Dallas wins and we will host the NFCCG. Given the Vikings collapse or we get the #2 seed

It's the Vikings, that franchise is the walking example of collapse.
We're getting the #2 seed, fellas. No way does Minnesota finish 4-0.

Colts, Giants, Packers, Bears

Their opponents suck so it's possible they keep winning
Mike Florio is pushing this b******t narrative they should just rest all the starters the last three games cause it won't make any difference between 2 or 3. That's moronic as hell the players would be rusty as s**t entering the playoffs. Hey Mike there is something called load management and it's a real thing you dips**t. He just doesn't want them to leapfrog over his beloved Viqueens. It's way better to get the chance for 2 home games than only one. If they appear to be locked into #3 before the final game of the season yeah then rest the hell out of everybody in week 18. If not then screw Florio and his dumb ass narrative.

I saw that Florio article as well. I agree that it's a bad idea. You don't rest starters for two to three weeks and then throw them back into the lineup with a coaching command of "be great" or "be as great as you were before you sat and rested." It doesn't work that way. The 1984 49er team, perhaps the best 49er team ever, clinched the NFC West and, I believe, the top seed in the NFC playoffs with four games left in the regular season. I don't remember Bill Walsh resting anyone. Joe Montana didn't start a game or two due to injury, but Walsh didn't pull him to rest him. I don't remember him sitting anyone else either. Every game was treated as a "must win." They didn't let off on the gas. Walsh didn't let them.
