Jimmy passed for 222 yards which is 27 yards more than the saints 8th ranked pass defenses season average. He had 0 turnovers and a TD pass. He was also drilled on several plays and held in there tough. No complaints from me today about Jimmy. I am worried about the knee injuries to Mitchell and CMC though. Hope the one that Mitchell suffered isn't anything serious and they were just being cautious.
My thoughts exactly.
There were a couple missed throws, a couple bad reads, but OL did him no favors today. He played pretty well overall despite poor OL play and running game never really got going.
Well said. Just glad he didn't seriously get injured...took a ton of head shots and body slams.
OL played fine today with the exception of the run game. Most of the hits Jimmy took were after holding the ball for awhile.
Jimmy took a bunch of hits, at one point early in the 3rs he was knocked down 6 times.
And run blocking also helps a QB if they can get good production out of the run game.
OL played poorly today,no way around it.
It happens though, that's a very good DL, and nobody expected the OL to play this well for the most part this year.

Nah, they played well. Jimmy was holding the ball way too long. I credit the Saints coverage.

Just glad we got out of it with a win.
Yeah, that's how I saw it too. Offense just looked off and the D got the necessary stops and big plays to prevent them from scoring. Hopefully the boys that got banged up weren't too serious.

Pass protection was almost nonexistent, while the running lanes were clogged up very quickly. I'm of the opinion that the o-line stunk up the place today.

The OL is not going to hold up against a talented d-line forever. You have to get rid of the ball quickly and we weren't.

Where'd I'd say it was on Jimmy? The receivers weren't getting open.

This was one of those classic "let down/trap" games this team has fallen victim to the past few seasons. Glad the D came to play and shut them out 💪

All week long people were saying this was a trap game because the Saints defense was one of the best defenses in the league when everyone was healthy. IIRC, before the game, someone said this was the healthiest the D had been since early in the year. Allen did an excellent job of scheming pressure.
If the mark of a good team is to win ugly games, this was one of the greatest wins of all time.

Does show we can win ugly games with just our defense.
