Shawn Hoculi and his crew of officials can eat a dick. They missed so many calls and nitpicked the hell outta the 9ers. GTFO!!!

I imagine the Saints are saying the same thing about that illegal contact on the Int. play

Yeah refs pretty much screwed us both equally.

Jimmy passed for 222 yards which is 27 yards more than the saints 8th ranked pass defenses season average. He had 0 turnovers and a TD pass. He was also drilled on several plays and held in there tough. No complaints from me today about Jimmy. I am worried about the knee injuries to Mitchell and CMC though. Hope the one that Mitchell suffered isn't anything serious and they were just being cautious.

My thoughts exactly.

There were a couple missed throws, a couple bad reads, but OL did him no favors today. He played pretty well overall despite poor OL play and running game never really got going.

Well said. Just glad he didn't seriously get injured...took a ton of head shots and body slams.

OL played fine today with the exception of the run game. Most of the hits Jimmy took were after holding the ball for awhile.

Jimmy took a bunch of hits, at one point early in the 3rs he was knocked down 6 times.

And run blocking also helps a QB if they can get good production out of the run game.

OL played poorly today,no way around it.

It happens though, that's a very good DL, and nobody expected the OL to play this well for the most part this year.

Nah, they played well. Jimmy was holding the ball way too long. I credit the Saints coverage.

This is a joke right??

Has to be

NGS has Jimmy with 2.9 Seconds Time to Throw today. That's almost a full half-second over his season average and for comparison, about a half-second longer than Andy Dalton and almost a full second longer than Colt McCoy last week. Over a full season, 2.9 would be in the bottom 5. In other words, he held the ball a lot longer than usual today.

Yep the hold on Kittle was super tricky tacky too.
CMC averaged 2.9 YPC on 11 carries. Deebo netted 0 yards on 2 carries. Both Mitchell and Mason averaged 5.0 YPC each.
I'm going to be critical of the Niners in this W because I view our team superior to the Saints.

The offense was average all game...pretty underwhelming performance. The Oline let Jimmy get crushed. I will caveat that all by saying the Saints D is really good. A notch below the Niners level good.

I think our defense is weird. It's oddly great. Between the 20s they were giving up whatever the Saints wanted. The goal line D was fantastic which ultimately led to a shutout. It was a weird shutout however since they were moving up and down the field especially the second half easily.

Overall a good gritty win I suppose. Nothing wrong with that but the offense better bounce back.
If Mitchell's Mcl is only grade 1 or 2 he could be back in 2 to 4 weeks.
Saints have a stout D and imo played a little dirty. Not a flashy win, but a win. Let's go get healed up and get ready for a banged up Miami team as well.

Saints got a quality D imo. Feel like that was underrated all week. They got some guys back and like always SF failed to execute some plays that would have been the difference in winning by more.

We were just saving our creative play calling for next week.

We had several great calls. Like the McCaffrey should-have-been deep pass, or the draw that got called back for holding, or Deebo's long run that got called back.

Really getting sick of this s**t. Kyle is designing and calling brilliant plays every week. Sometimes we fail to execute, sometimes we get penalized. Sometimes they work. It's like people forget the Nolan, Singletary, Tomsula and Kelly days.

We struggled mainly because the Saints have a hell of a defense and we were tired from the previous week.

Niners by -4.5 opening line??
Deebo caught only 42% of his targets today. Jennings caught 86% of his. Aiyuk caught 63% of his. Kittle caught 75% of his. And CMC caught 67% of his.

This is a very good point. can't explain it but it has happens to us frequently. The seasttle win geno smith was....32 OF 35? Something like that.

Lots of teams get yardage on us, NOT in garbage time. It's weird. I think Ryans doesn't go nonlinear soon enough.

AND we still don't have the bookend to Bosa.

I can think of no scenario in which we are the legitimate favorite against the Dolphins.

We have a very Bendy defense, but they stiffen up when they need to preventing a break.
