Defense gotta eat! If Ward isn't impressed with Steroid Boy, The Abuser shouldn't be too overwhelming. Our pass rush just needs to kill that timing!

GO NINERS!

When will we see one? Tua isn't mobile and has rushed for about as many yards as Jimmy. People are making up stuff about the Dolphins at this point.

Right. Tua isn't a scrambler. He's really accurate on long passes though so they need to get a lot of pressure on him. I doubt our DBs can keep u with Hill and Waddle.

He may be accurate with the deep ball but with both of his starting OT's injured, he may not get the time in the pocket to throw those longer developing routes.

He's not a scrambler, but the dude is actually mobile "inside the pocket". He's shown numerous times that he can buy time and make throws off script.

Nice find. Here are the stats on 3rd down in this matchup.

Jimmy- 54/84 for 676 yards, 7 TD's, 1 INT and a 112.0 passer rating.

Tua- 54/73 for 741 yards, 9 TD's, 0 INT's and a 145.6 passer rating.

Guess Tua is bailing out McDaniel a lot too

Tua is brown and brown = running QB.
If the 49ers beat the Dolphins this week, it would be the first win this season against a good team. The Chiefs drubbing was just a few weeks back.

Due to a lack of chances to beat good teams. As Chiefs are the only good team we have faced. Good point

I remember when Stephan A Smith called Dwayne Haskins a mobile QB.

it all depends on how you guys define "mobile"

scrambling for yards is one definition, mobility within the pocket is another and quite possibly the more dangerous of the two

Take this to the bank. The Dolphins are going with the quick passing game and will get Hill and Waddle out in space. 3 step drop and the ball is gone. Tua isn't taking 5 step drops and holding the ball. Running game, screens and quick passes.

So if it will work that easy against the number 1 defense, why don't they just do that every week and be the second coming of the Greatest Show on Turf?

LOL at Mike McDaniel calling a 41 rushing attempt game where Tua would need to save his HC's philosophy-choice/game plan there.

Sounds like a win for our defense who likes to force offenses into the short/quick passing game anyway. We have one of if not the best tackling defenses in the NFL. So again, sounds like a win for our defense.
Exactly. This neutralizes their biggest threats.

Not really. We struggle in zone coverage behind the LB's and in front of the DB's (e.g. KC). That's their target zone. It'll be a great test for us this time around.
