No one's going to respect us because we beat the Hawks, Rams x2, Panthers, Chargers (respectable I guess), AZ, and Saints. Sometimes I cringe that all the power rankings have us top 5. As a biased Niners fan I agree of course. As an objective Niners fans i'm not so sure. A win against Miami would make me think we are a top 5 team

Honestly this and raiders game are the least important if we were to rest people this is the game to do so because the Bucs seahawks and commanders are way more important

I don't know about that. I think this might be one of the most important games left on their schedule. They had their asses handed to them by the Chiefs, at some point they will need to show that they can beat a good team, and beat them soundly, not just squeak by, to prove that they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders and not just a team who might get there if all the cards fall into place.

I disagree that if the 49ers win they need to blow out a good team like Miami. I promise you if the 49ers win let's say 31-30 or 20-17 Sunday over the Dolphins, they will be the overwhelming National pick to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl regardless of the other potential NFC contenders. A healthy Miami team is easily capable of representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. I can't sit here and say Kansas City is better than Dolphins, and we know they can beat a fully healthy Buffalo Bills team. I don't want to be an AFC team facing a healthy Dolphins squad in the playoffs with Wilson and Mosert ready to go with those WRs and TE.

Yah if Miami doesn't have to go to KC, Buffalo or Cincinnati in Jan they can easily rep the AFC in the SB

Cold and rainy weather has historically been Miami's downfall. That wasn't the case in the early 70's. Don Shula fielded a powerhouse running attack fueled by Mercury Morris and Jim Csonka. They could play in any weather.

But that changed in the 1980's with the advent of the modern passing attack. Shula's Dolphins returned to relevance with a passing attack like no others.

But passing attacks aren't as effective on wet fields or in rainy weather or when the wind blows. Right now the field in Santa Clara is wet. It is going to get a lot more wet. It's cold. It is going to get colder. The wind is blowing. Hard. My bet is it will be raining, cold and miserable tomorrow.

The team with the best rushing attack and defense wins this game.

We should expect our defense to play much better than vs KC, but we should also assume Hill/Waddle/Mostert will get loose at some point.

With injuries at Oline specifically Tackle I have a hard time seeing Mostert have any success. The outside zone and toss plays are his one trick. If we can mix up coverages and defend the quick pass game we should have success on defense.
I'm a lil worried about our offense against a team that plays a lot of man to man and blitzes like Miami does. I understand there pff ranking but there pretty similar to Saints with there defensive personnel and coaching.

Christian Wilkins head up on Mcglinchey scares me.

I'm tired of fans on here who say they are 'scared' of playing a team or players. It is wierd.
