Janoris Jenkins DB signed to PS

He may not have a lot left but he gives them an experienced DB to use in certain situations.

To me Lenior is a back up not a starting caliber outside CB. Shows they have little to no trust in Thomas. I don't recall him playing much outside of special teams. JJ has always been a solid CB. Not sure what he has left in the tank though. Definitely better than Josh Norman, Denard, and Fitzpatrick

They like the way Gipson is playing too much to bench him, which means team captain and the senior member of the team Jimmie Ward needs to play the slot. That kind of defaults Lenoir to the bench because he can't play outside.

Cause Janoris Jenkins at Florida got destroyed by Alshon Jefferies at South Carolina and then in the draft Alshon Jefferies fell cause he was out of shape and we took AJ Jenkins a bust even though Jefferies had beaten legit cornerbacks throughout his college career. He reminds me of that too

I figure it was cuz they are both JENKINS but I appreciate you dropping the knowledge. I remember Alshon at SCAR he was a BEAST. Big bodied WR.

Exactly, the guy still can play. Which is why I don't understand why he wasn't on a NFL roster.

Based off what Kyle said I would assume it's based on money. I think he was holding out for a 1 year deal with a team and wasn't getting many takers and refused to play on a teams PS. Now with the season nearing the end he realized he has no choice but to start on the PS. But like most ppl have said, a really solid signing as insurance. Lenoir has been solid, nothing spectacular but a solid cb2. Jenkins is good insurance if lenoir or Mooney ward get hurt. Womack is clearly better playing the slot over outside and it seems the team doesn't feel great about playing Ambry Thomas if one of our starters get hurt

if he can tackle, im in. love to see him coach up our db's. we need it.

Any word on how Jenkins did in practice this week? I'm assuming it's too late to activate him from the PS for the Dolphins game?
