Now to worry about playing ball wihtout Jimmy

Oh, there's plenty to worry about. Purdy won't have the advantage of being the guy coming in off the bench with no film on him, teams will be gameplanning for him now. I hope he's up for the challenge.

Not very much film tho beyond the college stuff and today. Still an advantage next game.

The film on him will show a gutsy QB who beat the blitz and forced the D to back off. He was winning on the pass game regardless of how the Dolphins played D. That's what made it so impressive

This poster is speaking nothing but truth.

I'm sure Tampa will play Purdy differently than the Dolphins and I expect him to have more struggles, which is not a knock on him. He's a rookie QB that got tossed in a game unexpectedly. Prop to him because the last two QBs that looked this good after getting tossed into a game unexpectedly were Kaepernick and Jimmy to a degree. You have to be ready no matter what Brock Purdy was. He will have to really prepare for next week and his teammates will have to help him as much as they can. If nothing is broken, Jimmy might be back at the end of the season. Hopefully we are making the playoffs and Jimmy can come back for that instead.

Unless Purdy is actually really good and steals the job.
Is it me, but Mike McDaniel reminds me of the chef on Ratatouille.

This wasn't a "made of glass" injury. Come off it already

Im thinking it makes him more affordable to retain for a backup unless Purdy balls out. But Jimmy is fragile…that is not a question

Exactly, if Purdy's playing good then Jimmy will be holding a clipboard.
Please, no talk that Brock Purdy should be starting

Fans don't like a QB that gives you a chance to win pretty much every game. He has won 41 of 60. Some reason 49ers fans believe a guy that is the rawest QB in the NF, L and has never led the offense to more than 10 points is the savior. Certainly does not have the trust of his head coach to spread the ball around the field. I just don't see it.

Lololol we want our Chiefs rematch

Would much rather play the bengals over the chiefs and bills…

The Bengals that just beat the Chiefs?

Yes. Bengals show they match up well vs. Chiefs, but SF played the Bengals much better last year than they did the Chiefs this year.

Don't have to talk about it - he's the only option left.
Both of our starting qb went down with injury the same way.
Nick Bosa major part in winning this game.
Purdy played as good as any rook QB, couldn't ask for more.
The INT that Purdy threw, it was more of a "give the playmaker a chance", so wouldn't hold it against him.

This defense showed that it can play with a fast paced offense. Bodes well if we ever face the Chiefs.

Of the possible QBs that will be available, Purdy >>> Lance and we ride with him.
