Nah. At this point he's damaged goods. The harp on him has always been his play, but the injuries have also been an issue in the background. I highly doubt Shanalynch will bring him back even on a backup contract, and Jimmy will be looking for a starting job next year. The fake media love he was getting for the past 2 days was assuming he carried this team deep into the playoffs for a possible SB run.

Now that that's out the window, I don't see why the team would risk bringing back an oft injured, unable to win the big one, quarterback on a hefty contract with Trey waiting in the wings.

thanks for the memories Jimmy, or lack thereof…

There is no way Jimmy steps on the field again as a 9er. Zero
It's really over.

Yeah, it is. So sad, he was on fire, I was excited. Then abruptly ends. Before the injury happened..as he was still scrambling, I said "oh watch your feet Jimmy!" Then s**t . Ugh. Like it slow mo happened before my eyes. Devastating.

What sucks is Jimmy had probably the most confidence I'd seen. He has gotta be so bummed.

Yea this sucks. Def saw the path to the SB against a stellar Qb from the AFC taking on our great D is how I was drawing it up. Ofcourse don't know what we have with purdy but just really bad luck. Feel bad for jimmy thought he was gonna cap this thing off with a "feels great baby" after being counted out by everyone and ride off into the sunset :( I will attempt to process this huge W and L tonight. We're on to Tampa by Tom!

Sorry for you. I ain't.
I will eat crow. I had this pegged as a loss in the other thread. Not only did they win, but they won convincingly with a 3rd string QB. They're capable of making a deep playoff run
We just beat a legitimate SB contender with our 3rd string QB. Can't we be happy about that? How strong is this team?
