I agree here. Only chance we have is if the run game is unstoppable from here on out. In games where we'll have to depend on Purdys arm, it's fine nna be tough. Teams will stack the box and blitz more than ever now.
You mean like today?

How do you know that? Different year and better talent this year.

One could argue it was saved when Jimmy got hurt.
Some have a Strong belief he's a choker who can't win it all.
Purdy you don't know what he's got. Maybe he has it or is a choker also but if you believed Jimmy was a choker this just saved the season.

Season over. The unluckiest team ever. No other team has had this much injuries every f**king year.

Yeah I don't think you can totally stack cuz you don't want the ball out quick to Deebo and one guy has to bring him down or it's a house call. He's hard to bring down.

I think our superbowl winning hopes are dead unless we grab someone like Cam Newton. With Purdy I think we have an easy enough schedule to still win the division, and win a playoff game or two

I am one of his biggest fans. Doesn't change the fact that the season was basically over when Trey went down.

Yes it's over. Purdy will likely get us in the playoffs (given a weak division), and we might even win a playoff game if we host NY or Wash. But SB dreams are over. It just sucks our karma is so bad. Tons of mobile QBs in this league that run every play and they get away with it. Our pocket passer QB breaks an ankle just when we were ready to make a run. We lost our starter in similar fashion.
Oh and we lost both are bonified corners to awful injuries, and our starting star RB is on IR.
I mean….looking around the league, this can't be chalked up to just bad luck can it ?
Kyle needs to totally overhaul the strength and conditioning staff again.
Fire everyone, clean house.
One or two seasons is unlucky, however, this has become a trend.
There's nothing that can be done about injuries like Trey's or Jimmy's. That's physics and can't really be accounted for.
However, this team suffers a lot of injuries that can be related to strength and conditioning.
Something has to change. This problem is the biggest reason why we haven't won a Super Bowl with Kyle.

Sooner or later we'll have to make that game winning drive for a TD or FG and he'll have to make those clutch passes and/or change the protection at the line. I don't trust Purdy doing that just yet. It's Trey Lance situation all over.

Without a doubt. I didn't think they were winning the super bowl anyway, but you have to be in denial if you think they're winning the sb now. Maybe next year they can sign a vet and make one last run, but otherwise the niners are probably heading for a rebuild around trey or another rookie in a following year or two.

That sucks for Jimmy. We lost our number 1 and 2 QB and this is supposed to be a learning time for Purdy on the sidelines. We are in the thick of a playoff chase and we need to sign a vet now. If he wants to play for a contending team.. maybe Fitzpatrick? Who else out there as there is nothing out there.
