Is the season over without Jimmy G?

Mayfield would be very good on this team. I would defiantly be all over this if I was management. Dude went no1 for a reason. He sucks on other teams but for us he would be just right

He's a locker room cancer hard pass.

Baker time.

He'll definitely be a Niner

He's white, not Kaepernick and he's already failed at two starting gigs. Sure why not?

he's also currently better than Kap.

Only in your mind.

Lol imagine not being able to let this go…

Agreed. In what way can one prove that Baker is better than Colin?

Bakers leadership is one of the few redeeming parts of him.

This. He isn't a cancer. That's a lazy narrative. Guy gutted it out and played hurt last year.

Currently he's actually been playing in the NFL. Kap has been setting up fake try outs like he actually wants to play.

Kap hasn't played in 7 years. Give it up.

I'm not actually lobbying for Kap....but there are older QBs than Kap still starting and succeeding in this league. Kap not playing is purely political.
Baker getting another chance after failing twice is infuriating really.

Jimmy just can't stay healthy. I don't want to say he's injury prone because I don't know what that really means. I do know that he has terrible luck when it comes to getting hurt. He's been the starter here for 5 seasons ( I count this one since he's been the starter since game 2) and he's been fully healthy for 1. Other than 2019 he's been at least injurded enough to hamper his game. This is now his 3rd season ending injury. If it wasn't for bad luck he's have no luck at all.

His foot should be okay by next season but I have to wonder how much another in a long line of injuries is going to affect his market value. After all, injures were one of the main reasons the 49ers went out and drafted Trey. Since then he's had the thumb, shoulder and now a broken foot. He just seems to be one of those guys like Ward was when he first got here or Verrett was. One injury after another. Buyer beware.

I mean....if I am a General Manager, there is absolutely no way I am signing Jimmy to be my team's starting quarterback. I expect his market to be incredibly small, again.

Bring him in as a backup

Lord. BM a 9er ugh but we do need a second QB or even a third.

who would have thought this even a conversation 48 hours ago. Roll with it.
I don't see Baker as a fit for Kyle in normal situations. Baker too much outside the line, doing his own s**t at times, would drives Kyle crazy. If we bring in Baker as a backup, Kyle would have to accept the possibility of Baker going rogue at times during the game, and be ok with that.

We had Sherman and Trent Williams on the same team. Old beefs get smashed when everyone has the same goal.

Hated each other from college. Baker planted the A&M Flag at OSU and Bosa's killed him in every game since. Ever see Bosa do the plant the flag gesture? Its directly mocking Mayfield.

Kap hasn't played in years. I doubt he's anything close to what he was the last time we saw him.
