Is the season over without Jimmy G?

Good. We dont need him

I mean I'll take him as a backup vs Johnson. I'm team Brock, but we're in the thick of winning the NFCW. We need a legit backup with experience (and some sort of success). This situation is no bueno right now

doubt it, he's going to clear waivers

The Rams won't get him to spite us. That's not how McVay rolls. It's petty, deprives their backups of live reps they need for development and isn't going to help them anyway with all their stars out. It's just going to create another negative story line that they don't need when Baker can't carry them to the playoffs.

Why would the Texans risk their draft position at this point? It's not like Baker is going to resign there in the offseason.

New Orleans, same thing. Is he really going to be better than Dalton or Hill, who've both been there all season and know the entire offense? They could still make the playoffs because their division is so bad but realistically undermining Dalton and Hill isn't good for them long-term... and they absolutely don't have the money to resign him in the offseason.

The Seahawks could do it out of spite/strategic considerations and the Jets absolutely need a QB and still have something to play for. But Baker would loudly object to being put behind Gino and not given a chance to play so I don't think he would be happy in Seattle and that's not healthy for that locker room.

I think it's between us and the Jets... maybe the Ravens if Lamar's injury keeps getting worse.

I actually hope we get Baker. No he's not great, and at this point I would probably roll with Purdy as well, but the fact remains that Purdy is still a 3rd string 7th round rookie, and the odds are that the wheels are going to fall off sooner or later. In that case, whether via injury or performance, I would much rather have Baker as the option than Josh Johnson. For all the knocks on Baker (deserved), he has still had success in this league.

Kyle may be saying he doesn't see it, but I honestly believe this team would be foolish to not explore it given the current circumstances. If he gets claimed ahead of them, so be it, but either a claim should be put in on him or a signing should he clear waivers.

beat Seattle WK18 lol
So glad we didn't do anything with this guy. The non participation in the Baker's bidding show a lot of the team's confidence with Purdy. It should motivate and inspire Purdy more.
You can't keep a good man down. Back comes Jimmy G for the playoffs.

It really does. Brock has brought a newfound level of excitement. When he does well on a play it's awesome, and when he doesn't do well, whatever, he's a 7th round QB3. His ability to extend a play and find a YAC Bro is going to hurt defenses.
Lol no lol.
