Not really. I don't think anyone really bought that our 7th round quarterback would come in and light things up. As Kyle Brandt said on NFLN the other day, Brock Buddy has gone from "cool story bro" to "sensation" in a span of 3 weeks. You'd have to be sipping the Kool-Aid if you thought this was exactly what was going to happen once Jimmy went down. Heck, who would've predicted that Brock would play BETTER than Jimmy

And the story isn't done yet. We had Superbowl aspirations before Jimmy went down. Still need to get there now with Brock.

TBPH, I'm more optimistic with Brock now. I think Shanny has "opened" up the playbook for him for good reason. He's got better range than Jimmy and get open up the field vertically as well as horizontally. Now that we clinched the division, Shanny should use the next 3 weeks almost like preseason format for him. Iron out the wrinkles, give him all the looks so we go into the playoffs firing on all cylinders.

That proves my point. If we all had Superbowl aspirations with Jimmy and now fans feel Purdy adds even more to the offense, we should be even more on the Superbowl train. That's exciting.

PS: Love the approach. Try a bunch of stuff out...rolling pockets, triple reverses, dudes in different roles, hurry up offense, nothing but passes in the RZ, more OZ for the OL, ST trick play, etc. Find that one QB-Receiver combo that works every time. Back in the day, that was the quick slant. Indefensible.

Iron out all the stuff we might need in the playoffs when we face adversity.

Crocker was just talking about the RZ and hurry up (or pace) offense as being two areas we need to focus on.

Yep Kyle has nothing to lose except if people are getting hurt. So he might do just that.

But just imagine if we do win the Super Bowl with Purdy. Wowweee

Too early to tell. But so far yes we have improved these last 3 games.

Too many QB threads. The objective answer is 'no' since the 49ers are still obligated to play the full 17 game regular season and the playoffs.
