Is the season over without Jimmy G?

Unfortunately, I'd lean towards yes, but this defense is so good that anything is possible.

Dont you know we're 0-12. No playoff hopes. Season ended week two.

to answer he question, he'll no it's not over.

It was over when Trey went down. This season was all about developing him. Jimmy wasn't gonna lead this team to the promise land. Not with his play and not with his injury history.

Glad the team don't have yours, and others, mentality and checked out first quarter of week 2.

Im rolling with Purdy until the wheels fall off. He just helped lead a big win against a team, the media gave us no chance against.

The season is "over"

Stopped reading right there. Only thing established is you're definitely not a faithful lol

Wait, so I'm not "faithful" if I say that the season was over when Trey went down, but it is ok to say the season is over now that Jimmy is down? Cause a lot of people are doing the latter and I don't see you calling them out on it.

Yeah it's done. We had a real shot to reach the Super Bowl this year.

it's sick to me how many people are doing victory laps on this injury news. 'we all knew how it'd end'. when jimmy took that awkward hit against the saints to his leg, i'm sure all these losers were ready to hop on twitter with injury memes and were disappointed when he got back up and won the game. qb's get hit in the nfl, it happens. the way jimmy got rolled up on there could have happened to anyone. it sucks for him and the team, and no one can predict an injury like that occuring.

if the niners goal was a super bowl win, the season is probably over barring a miracle. if there's any team in the league that can mask mediocre qb play, though, it's this one.

Agreed

i believe in miracles. Many didn't know who that 6th rounder Tom Brady was at first. Let's hope Purdy can help create similar magic.

Once the adrenaline of a good win wears off, a lot of you will realize that teams will adjust to Purdy and adjust accordingly. Unless you're willing to make the leap that he's the next coming of Tom Brady or Kurt Warner, which I'm sure no one is or will, I suspect Purdy will go through quite a few bumps in the coming weeks.

it's unrealistic for fans to consider this a "learning" season from Trey Lance, but all of a sudden think we're going to be world beaters with Purdy…
Brock Purdy has 100% win record in his two NFL games

He really stepped up today.

We can still win next week as Brady and the Bucks aren't what they were last year. It is a game by game things and he will learn. I will give him a chance to see if he revels in the opportunity. Go Brock!

Brock Purdy doesn't have a record, if you subscribe to that silly stat.
season not over until it's over. looking at the standings currently and the Niners have the 3rd best record in the conference and just beat one of the top offenses/ top 5 pass rushes with Purdy.

The 49ers are unique in the way they are built.

Jimmy G has won multiple playoff games without throwing a TD.

It's not over.
