It's far from over, especially if we get Brees.

Purdy managed a 67.5% completion rate and 2 touch downs. He is better than Mullens, Breathard, and Hoyer and has been involved in more winning games then Lance

to answer he question, he'll no it's not over.
It was over when Trey went down. This season was all about developing him. Jimmy wasn't gonna lead this team to the promise land. Not with his play and not with his injury history.
Glad the team don't have yours, and others, mentality and checked out first quarter of week 2.
Im rolling with Purdy until the wheels fall off. He just helped lead a big win against a team, the media gave us no chance against.
Once the adrenaline of a good win wears off, a lot of you will realize that teams will adjust to Purdy and adjust accordingly. Unless you're willing to make the leap that he's the next coming of Tom Brady or Kurt Warner, which I'm sure no one is or will, I suspect Purdy will go through quite a few bumps in the coming weeks.
it's unrealistic for fans to consider this a "learning" season from Trey Lance, but all of a sudden think we're going to be world beaters with Purdy…
I was going to give you an honest response until I got to the bold.No one is saying that and already see where this conversation will go.

We've signed Josh Johnson.

Yea but let's see what he looks like 3 or so weeks from now once teams have the game film on him and know exactly what we're trying to accomplish with him in the lineup.
That's the thing about this football sport. It's all about adjustments.

Well no HC has more experience trying to get a back-up QB ready to start mid-season than Kyle, so hopefully that counts for something.

He played good. I just hope its just not another flash in the pan like Mullens against the Raiders.

Was Brock an Adam Peters pick? If so, season's not over. If he's a Kyle pick, then season is over.

Imagine if Kyle and Lynch could coax Brees out of retirement ?
