I can see the score being along those lines or it to be a nail bitter that's decided by a field goal. I'll take either, I just want the W.

This is a joke, right??????? 17-13 Patriots. Our bumblefluck arrogant head coach passes on another veteran qb (Mayfield) to stay with a rookie to lead this playoff caliber team. Mayfield looked fantastic in a good system, with his head on straight. When will York realize that Kyle's ego won't win a sb just a 500 team😕😕😕

Does someone else want to explain the waiver process and order?

Even so, 49ers never put in a claim. He was never coming here regardless.

Probably because we were so low on the waiver order we figured we would wait for him to clear

Or maybe we didn't want him period because we don't want to mess with our locker room and team culture.
We're also talking about Mayfield, the biggest Meh QB there is. We already have a Jimmy. Thinking Mayfield would have solved our issues is a hilariously bad take.

Will Purdy do it, probably not. But at least it's not immediately bailing on him after he played well in favor of Mayfield.

Or that. I was ok with not getting him honestly. I was just responding to that guy thinking we had a chance at getting Baker

Yes. We obviously had no shot at getting him anyway.

This should be a big test for Brock and the defense.

I don't see Brady missing as many open receivers the way Tua did on Sunday.

I think we'll win but It'll most likely be a close one.

20-17 9ers

I concur. I see a 20-17 victory as well

If the score is that close, Brady will lead a game winning drive and take it. See what he did to NO ? We need to close them out so it isn't close, or we are in trouble with him…

No. Not at all. Not if we are up 20-10 and give up a last minute/prevent td
Oddly enough, the niners need this game more than the bucs. Bucs are in complete control of that division at .500

One thing that brady knows is how to play in a s**t division every year. He bailed on the afc east once Josh allen entered the picture.

Brady has always shaved into poor divisions on purpose.

Never had divisional competition during SB runs.

From SI.

Lame.

Bold prediction: This one will come down to defense, and the Bucs' battered secondary will deliver two interceptions against Purdy -- their first multi-interception game since their Week 2 win over the Saints. They have only seven picks on the season. -- Jenna Laine

Stat to know: The Buccaneers have lost three straight road games. Brady has never lost four consecutive road starts in his career.

I don't think it would have hurt to have gotten Mayfield as a backup plan but if he couldn't get to the 49ers then the Rams were his second best destination. I think he'll do well in McVay's offense.

Do you understand how the waiver wire works? Because since it was after the trade deadline, Mayfield had to pass through waivers. The Rams had third priority in the order so once they put a claim in for him, no one behind them, which includes the 49ers, was able to get him.
No Fournette at practice
