we probably don't need him anyways our pass rush is great overall
let drake jackson play more an show what he can do

This Bucs game is more important than people realize. If Bucs win, The Niners are only a game ahead of them with the Bucs owning the tie breaker. There is a big difference between finishing with the #3 seed and finishing with the #4 seed. With the #3 seed the Niners will get to host one of the Commanders, Giants, or Seahawks in the wildcard round and get to avoid the Eagles until the NFC championship game with still chance of avoiding that if Cowboys or Bucs knocking the Eagles off in the divisional round. With the #4 seed the Niners will have to host the Cowboys in the wildcard round and then likely have to play the Eagles in the divisional round. Not ideal.

If Niners win this Sunday and beat the Seahawks on Thursday, They will pretty much have the #3 seed locked up, With still the chance at the #2 seed.

i disagree we will end up with a better record than the bucs and even if we dont in that scenario the point is moot because seahawks will have the division and we would be out of the playoffs

Exactly. Last game was the game to rest him if he needed rest. Not this one or the next two. 3 straight NFC playoff teams.
Atmospheric River storm due to hit. I hope it's over by Sunday.

Woulda been better to rest him against an AFC opponent ya but his hammy wasn't hurt then. It is now. If we have to pick 1 team to win against then a win against the seacocks is much better for us than a win against the bucs. Hence my point. Now we cud rest him an still go an win both the next two weeks. Def possible.

They're both important. Lmao

Ya.

But would you rather sit bosa this week an ensure we have him the rest of the season?
or play him this week an risk losing him for multiple weeks/possibly rest of the season?

gotta think ahead.

damn, thanks for the info. When you put it this way, it almost feels like a playoff for the playoffs.
This is NFL football in December - we can't afford to "rest" guys against "easy wins". There are no easy wins in this league and our losses early in the season prove it.

obviously if it's necessary, we sit Bosa, but if he feels good to play.. then we need him.

Bucs have a top 10 defense and Brady is Brady. He may be old but I refuse to bet against the guy, he ALWAYS has a great chance to win.

we need this win to put us in place to keep the third seed and maybe move up, plus the Seahawks are right behind us and we play them on Thursday night.

Yea, the Bucs game is huge for all the reasons JTB mentioned. We really have to get the #3 seed. It makes a huge difference in who we play. We would have a shot at hosting the NFCCG as well as the #3 if Eagles or whoever is #1 gets knocked off at divisional spot.

I think Bosa plays and the 49ers are just showing gamesmanship.

Bosa isn't going to pass up a chance to sack Tom Brady either.

If he can play he can play that resting s**t is nonsense, we're not 12-0/11-1 we need to win games regardless especially if we lose this game not having our best defensive player against the greatest qb of all time then praying for Carolina to win in SEA is a lot. We never play well in SEA add the fact it's a short week with anything that can happen those thursday night games we need to win this game and not just rest guys who can play
If Bosa is good to go then no resting. No precautions. I win $1600 if he gets DPOY which he currently has the 2nd best odds for

Would you want to sign Brady in the off season, move on from JG, and give Trey a year behind the goat?
our roster might be the best roster Brady would have ever played on and it would make us very likely to win it all next year. Thoughts?

I think we have too much Invested In Trey for them to allow him to sit for yet another year.

Right now, It's far more Important for the 9ers to see what they have at QB with Lance and If he's that guy who can eventually help win us a super bowl.

Lance/Jimmy/Purdy seems like a decent QB group Imo.
