SF 49ers vs Buccaneers Pregame Thread - 2022 Season Week 14

Don't let those last 4 minutes fool you, The Bucs offense is terrible. They are struggling to score points against every defense they play. Their Oline is beyond terrible due to all the injuries, As a result they have no run game. Without Gronk they don't have that security blanket at TE. And I think Evens might finally be on the decline. I am more worried about their defense vs our rookie QB who is starting his 1st game.

The offense just can't screw up and turnover the ball or have a bunch of 3 and outs. I think if we get 17+ points, we should win this game.
Another 50+ attempts for Brady this Sunday?

Bosa is licking his chops!

TB's run defense is 18th in yards per game and are allowing 4.5 yards per carry. I say lets see if we can get 40 carries in this game and work the passing game off of playaction. Allow Purdy to use his athleticism and ability to throw on the run be where he gets a majority of his passes.

Everytime I hear that the opposing team has a bad run D, it doesn't really matter that much when it comes to the Niners. Every opponent is going to overcommit to the run game and stack the box.

And what happens to this defensive overcommitment if we prove we can impose our will inspite of it?
Coulda been a Tom vs Jimmy game if someone knew how to live to play another down and not give piggy back rides. Smh.
I'll still watch a 6th round 199th pick vs "Mr Irrelevant" 7th round 262nd pick game.
I haven't done an exhaustive check, but I believe this is the first time Brady is sb underdog to a rookie.
Loosen up!

Bashing your head against the Brick wall to get through may show your determination, but sometimes going around it is the better option.

When you can impose your will, you break there will. That would open up the offense to being able to do whatever it wants whenever it wants.

The only bashing against a brick wall that I have seen up to this point is when we continuously try to run CMC up the middle. Mason has shown that he can gain positive yards inspite of the less than perfect blocking. He has also proved he can gain positive yards even when the defense stacks the box and knows we are going to run it. If you folks are worried about CMC than Keep both on the field and don't allow defenses to key in on anything or anyone.

Sucks that in the six years JG has been here; he hasn't had a chance to go against Brady because of his health.

Only could've played Brady once so far it he stayed with the Patriots in 2020.

This weekend would've only been the first potential matchup between them.
Bosa is going to do what Gisele couldn't. Make Brady quit football.
