TB's run defense is 18th in yards per game and are allowing 4.5 yards per carry. I say lets see if we can get 40 carries in this game and work the passing game off of playaction. Allow Purdy to use his athleticism and ability to throw on the run be where he gets a majority of his passes.
Everytime I hear that the opposing team has a bad run D, it doesn't really matter that much when it comes to the Niners. Every opponent is going to overcommit to the run game and stack the box.
And what happens to this defensive overcommitment if we prove we can impose our will inspite of it?
Bashing your head against the Brick wall to get through may show your determination, but sometimes going around it is the better option.
When you can impose your will, you break there will. That would open up the offense to being able to do whatever it wants whenever it wants.
The only bashing against a brick wall that I have seen up to this point is when we continuously try to run CMC up the middle. Mason has shown that he can gain positive yards inspite of the less than perfect blocking. He has also proved he can gain positive yards even when the defense stacks the box and knows we are going to run it. If you folks are worried about CMC than Keep both on the field and don't allow defenses to key in on anything or anyone.
