I just don't see how you go from potential and winning to maybe a higher ceiling and just gift lance back the job.
If it is obvious we're losing games because of Jimmy type situation where the offense looks pathetic then I think you can go back to lance right away but if we're losing in shootouts I don't see how even with this much invested you can just give the job back to lance.
