On that 32 yard TD catch by Aiyuk, he said that play was not in the gameplan nor did they practice it at all last week.

Damn, impressive. Perfect delivery of the ball.

F*** the haters. The 49er that never was. Not his fault the 49ers' brain trust in 2000 didn't have a clue as far as QB's go.

I am still trying to process what I witnessed yesterday. What all of us witnessed. At least one reporter has issued a story comparing this game to another game that Nick Mullens started. That was indeed a good game. But Mullens didn't look like this in that game. He did not look like Purdy. I saw Purdy make exactly one bad throw yesterday. One. It was a pass over the middle that he should not have thrown and it was picked off. Fortunately, for Purdy and the 49ers, a penalty wiped that play out.

It's still a tad early, imo, to declare this kid as "something special." It's only been two games. But it appears that Purdy has turned this team from possible Super Bowl contender to an absolute beast that cannot be stopped. I hope this ride continues. I really do. Because, if it does, we will all get to witness something very, very special. We will all see something that we, as 49er fans, will remember and talk about for the rest of our lives.

This wasn't just an average win. We've all been fortunate to witness those. No, it's not. Last week's game and yesterday's game are the type of contests that we will want to see again. The replay of this game on the NFL Network will be listed in the Calendar section of our smart phones. We will all want to see this again. We will all ask, did that realy happen?

We're not there yet. Fate is a fickle thing. But this could be a special season. For all of us.

Not once have I ever had hatred for Brady, enjoy his game, his will to win and take less money to field a better roster and I never had an issue and like how he carries himself on and off the field. Just sucks they never drafted him and said no to him in 20' when he said I just wanna play for y'all and there will be no FA tour and they just still said no.

I only disliked him in NE. Stopped caring after he went to Tampa. I think it was more of a BB+TB combo thing, I dunno.

I don't like Tom because he took the GOAT title away from Joe Montana. That's the only reason - purely football related. My initial thought of Tom was, "hell yeah this dude beat the Greatest Show on Turf in the SB. I like him."

Yeah thats the only thing I didn't like, but I came to accept it. I treat it as different eras. Montana was the GOAT for his era, and Tom is the GOAT for his era.

Purdy is going to throw an INT at some point and hopefully it won't be a costly one. I can live with that as long as he keeps making big time throws that rtesult in TDs. I sat in the stands through all the Montana and Young years and believe me the fans moaned many times when one of them threw an INT. They had their fair share but they also made up for them with the big plays. That's how they won Super Bowls.

Football is a little like the stock market. You can play it safe and conservative and never really lose too much but you never gain a lot either. If you're willing to gamble you'll have days with big losses but the goal is to ultimately be a big winner, not just a survivor.
