SF 49ers at Seahawks Pregame Thread - 2022 Season Week 15 (TNF)

Maybe we see Gray get in this week and Purdy finds him open downfield.

Very surprised we are only 3.5 point favorites. Would've thought it would be about 5-6 with how we are playing and how Seattle has been playing.

Hawks get 3 for home field. So it's 6.5 in reality.

Home teams have a huge advantage on Thursday night football. I'm sure that factors in.

so 9.5 at home ?

That would be about right if we were playing at Levi's.

High level view on why the SEA run defense is getting wrecked.
TLDR: the players suck

That's 838 rushing yards allowed in four games — good for a 209.5-yard average.
One could also argue that the Seahawks are simply lacking the defensive personnel — especially up front — which analyst and former Seahawks quarterback Brock Huard suggested Sunday afternoon.
"Watching an NFL team unable to stop the run is like watching an MLB team unable to hit. Effort is the immediate/easy answer to scream, but the reality is talent and skill are often what's missing," Huard tweeted. "Many of these Seahawk front seven defenders are fringe NFL players and that's come to light."

Music to my eyeballs 😍😍. I feel like if we can get off to a fast start, we will control the game and dominate just fine - it'll mitigate the crowd noise. Starting fast and mitigating the crowd noise will help Purdy a lot because you know they're going to throw some complex disguises in coverage to see if he can identify/process it.

their defense must be EXHAUSTED after the pounding they just took, and have taken over the last four weeks, so CMC/JP should have some nice games and help Purdy a lot.

Maybe, with Deebo being out. His route running has been bad to very bad thus far. There's a reason McCloud has been active over him.

Good thing Kyle really liked Ray Ray as a WR and not just a punt returner when they signed him.

I think the best case scenario for the 49ers involves having the Cowboys and Eagles play each other so one of them knocks the other out. I also think the Cowboys are the only other team in the NFC other than the 49ers that can beat the Eagles. I think the ideal scenario is to get the #2 seed and then host WAS/NYG/SEA/DET in the 1st round and then host Minnesota in the Divisional round. Minnesota as the #3 seed would have to beat whoever they face at #6 which I would think they could. Then onto Philadelphia OR hosting the Cowboys, the latter being clearly preferred.

I don't know. I watched the highlights of one of Philly's games. I am not convinced they are as good as their record. In the game I saw they were gifted a lot of opportunities by their opponents. Not to say I think they are bad or anything just not as good as they are currently perceived. If we are healthy and Brock continues on his current trajectory I would feel pretty good about our chances.

i had a dream that Purdy hits Gray down the sideline on play action on the first play of the game.

Philly is a paper tiger.

they are formidable but had a schedule that worked out, have stayed healthy and Hurts has really elevated his game.

.nut in a frenzy. Most of them have already thrown in the towel.

After what we've seen the last 4 weeks from the Run Defense, I hate our chances in this game. Hope to be quite surprised and I'll be screaming my lungs out as always at my seats. But, that Niners defense, plus the addition of McCaffrey? Damn. That team is damn good. Yes, that hurt to say.

Honestly he looks out of shape. I think he's missing those 6am runs with Wes Welker.
Kyle gonna run on them, then have Purdy carve them up.
