49ers need to look at this game than more just clinching the playoffs and Division title, but also basically eliminating the Seahawks from the playoffs. The Seahawks are 1 game out of 7th place. If we beat them most likely they'll be 2 games out of 7th place. After they play us they play the Chiefs which most likely will be another loss. Then they have Jets & Rams which both are toss ups. I feel this game will eventually knock the seahawks out of the playoffs and I would love that so much!!

We can technically rest and sit players for the last 3 games of the season unless we really want to go for the 2nd seed.

@ Chi
I think Giants can beat them if they have a good day.

Russell Wilson waiting until he exited the division to start playing like ass.
Yeah I've been following that story. The Seahawks could get the #1 overall pick LMAO.
Will Anderson is probably going to be a Seahawk unfortunately.

That is not a good sign. Walker reminds me of Mason - a strong, tough runner with some wiggle.
You remember how our defense was out of position and got burnt by the Dolphins on the first play?
That can happen with Walker on the field... he has that Mostert extra gear that can seperate from who ever is chasing him.

Anyone feelin a little ancy about the game? I think Purdy is pretty solid mentally..just hope the insane media blitz hasn't gotten to him.

I just hope he's ready for the crowd noise. One nice thing about last week was limiting the penalties but we had issues getting plays in on time. That can definitely be a problem on Thursday with the home crowd and the fact they just got embarrassed by the Panthers at home.

Real test for Purdy and our Niners. Big win, short week, hostile divisional rivals with playoff in sight! If BP owns this game, my confidence for him will be elevated to another level!
GO NINERS!!!

Yeah, I am sure he's used to crowd noise, not sure if on the Seattle level though. *bites nails* lol. Brady & Seattle on a short week. If we win Seattle, that would be so dope.

Florio said today on his talk show with Simms that Minnesota was gonna get their "ass kicked" by the 49ers regardless of whether the match was in Minny or SC. But it might as well be SC so they don't have to travel there. Simms agreed that this thing was shaking up to be a Philly vs San Fran NFCC matchup unless Dallas plays spoiler and knocks Philly out…

Hopefully, the beatdown that the Panthers just gave them has softened them up for us. That defense was on the field for 72 plays, 39 minutes, and was pounded for 223 yards on 46 rushes.

Despite being a Bay Area team, the 49ers are the most physical, cold-weather team in the NFL with the way they play. We're going to go into the playoffs like last season--the team nobody wants to play.

Yeah, that's definitely a plus about their D. Softened up for the taking.
