Dwumfour (6-1, 296) originally entered the NFL after signing with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2021. Dwumfour was waived by the Jets on August 26, 2021 and later signed to the Houston Texans practice squad on October 13, 2021. In two seasons (2021-22) with Houston, Dwumfour appeared in 10 games (one start) and registered 11 tackles and 0.5 sacks before being waived on December 7, 2022.

This season with Houston, Dwumfour appeared in seven games and recorded six tackles.

A 24-year-old native of Scotch Plains, NJ, Dwumfour attended Rutgers University (2020) after transferring from the University of Michigan (2016-19). Over the course of his collegiate career, Dwumfour appeared in 42 games and registered 61 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two passes defensed and one interception.

Malik Jackson?
I think the Niners are outsmarting themselves again. First off, they were in talk with Ndamukong Suh before he decided to join the Eagles. So why did they suddenly not bother getting another DT. Especially now since it's more of a need. Injuries is part of the game and shouldn't rely on an often injured player coming back and staying healthy. Niners are almost guaranteed to be in the playoffs, so they better ammo up.

Nobody can predict injuries...they just happen. Niners did sign DL Dwumfour. Beyond that, if needed, Omenihu can play inside and put Drake Jackson at DE.

Niners tried to trade for a higher end DT too.

Maybe they are looking at the playoffs teams. Does anyone have a dominant run game that could exploit us (like Atlanta did)?

DAL and PHI.

Thought the same. Jackson have been getting more snaps and he's been taking advantage of them. So by not adding DT's means him playing more and contributing more significantly.
Brandon Williams would have been nice but he went to KC

YYes I just saw this and this is great for depth especially considering that he was with the Jets for a short period of time so he already has some familiarity with the defensive system
1. Sheldon Richardson
2. Mike Pennel
3. Star Lotulelei
4. Zach Kerr
5. Malcom Brown

All Veteran FAs who could step in and stuff the run.
With our 3rd down nascar package we wouldn't need them to do too much pass rushing.

Dallas would be a legit concern. A strength inside vs. a potential weakness. I'm not as familiar with Philly and their run game. More inside? Outside?

Either way, 1 team is enough to consider beefing up a weakness.
Yes
