Agreed. Washington really has come alive. I'm expecting it to be the most difficult game left of the season. We should roll on the Cards and the Raiders, while more talented, have no heart.

I just looked at washington's schedule and besides the fluke game vs their division opponent (which we all know happens), they've only beaten bad teams.

they're basically the wal-mart niners

Yes, we haven't really had our way with them in awhile.

They beat us in 2017.

Then we had a slugfest in the rain and only beat them 9-0 in 2019.

We lose to them in 2020 because we had lots of players hurt.

One of those teams that can give us problems, but I say we should still be able to win.

WAS does have a solid defense. Our defense will prove to be too much for their offense though. They will find it very difficult to run the ball on us. Also, Heinicke tends to throw a little high over the middle. It could turn into pick city for our defense.

I don't think those games have much bearing on this one. The teams are pretty much completely different as are the circumstances.

Yes - conference record would be the tie-breaker for seeding, and SF is 8-2; Minnesota is 6-3.

It's not totally out of the realm of possibility - SF would host either Seattle, Detroit, Washington, or New York in the wild card round....that assumes Philadelphia/Dallas as the #1 seed @ at least 14-3. That's where the Chicago/Denver losses really sting.

They play this week on SNF, have one less say to prepare for Saturday, and need to travel cross-counrty. We have extra rest. All should be tipping this in our favor.
