So, I've been way behind since the game. Had some old friends in town from the west coast and also really busy with work so I didn't have the normal time to devote to the whole thing.
In hindsight(mainly cause I was picking some plays highlighting from the play-by-play box score to help choose which plays I showed and which ones I didn't to tell the story of the game) Anyhoo, I wish I'd been able to cover a few more Purdy plays. Maybe Thl will have time this week. I don't, my in-laws are coming in in 2 days and we have a ton to do with X-mas around the corner. But, he had a couple real nice plays to Jennings on a Lion - double slant. Also a couple other real nice plays but they were on drives that ended in punts.
I also really liked McCloud's route running on a big conversion in seahawks territory. He ran a pick play to perfection - something I talked about after the Saints game, poor execution on the pick plays but Ray Ray ran it really tight and well.
Anyhoo, Ryans called a masterpiece of a game and it was executed really, really well.

Always love the vids JD. Thanks for taking the time to do them. I really enjoyed the defensive brake down and how the pass rush and coverage works together.
A fun future video idea for you. Brock and Jimmy doing the same plays and how the are similar and different in doing so.

Ooof, good idea but man, that's a loaded video, lol.
Also, that'd take a really, really long time to look for and compile the same plays

Off season stuff... Yeah it would be loaded for sure (good for those clicks). I am just curious on how different it really is.

Shared your video on another forum. Just to let the Seahawks fans know not to be too hard on Geno. Ryans and the 9er D had him f**ked in the head.
Hope our future DC has Ryans' instincts.

Nice video jd. I like the cut up of Warner playing the flat in Cover2, just to screw with Geno's presnap. Also, the clip showing 4x1 formations, which is becoming a thing since so many teams are adopting Quarters. It's a good way to force teams out of Quarters coverage. Quarters relies on being able to have 4D versus 3WR to one side, and 3D versus 2WR to the other side. 4x1 formation breaks that. Having a CB like Mooney, who can man that 1WR side, makes things simpler to the 4WR side.

Great as always, Jonny. Quick question, you mentioned that Goodwin is one of the fastest players in the league. Why is there such a significant drop off in production between him and Tyreek Hill? Is it Hill's route running? Or just the QB being hesitant to throw to him? Or is Hill just faster?

A few things.
Hill has remained extremely durable in his time so he's been able to stay consistent in team/scheme.
Hill also is very good at setting up his routes and stops quicker than Goodwin, IMO.
That opens up those comeback routes which in turn open up his other routes.
Because he's been so durable he's a threat to get the ball anywhere and turn it into an explosive play.
Goodwin hasn't shown to be that guy to get the ball anywhere and do something with it.
