Great as always, Jonny. Quick question, you mentioned that Goodwin is one of the fastest players in the league. Why is there such a significant drop off in production between him and Tyreek Hill? Is it Hill's route running? Or just the QB being hesitant to throw to him? Or is Hill just faster?
To add. Hill is a football player, Goodwin is a track star.
Change of direction, refusal to be tackled, jump balls, and *competitive nature.
*not a knock on Goodwin.
Always look forward to your film breakdowns. Happy Holidays to you & your family!
Enjoy your holidays!

Those change of coverages, assignments, exchanging routes, really put a lot of pressure on the offense. The scheme is very complex, but when is well executed, it's amazing to watch!
Would you be more excited to meet Kyle and go through film together or more excited to meet your favorite 49er player?

Absolutely meet with Kyle and go through film. I'd donate a kidney for that.
Thank you for these breakdowns! They are greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays, JD!
JD, did you see anything new the Hawks to improve their run D? I thought for sure, that this would have been a grind them down game.

So, they ranba front really looking to stop OZ. On the strong side they came with a 5 tech, something we've struggled with, a nose and then weak side a 3/4i. That made Trent cutting off the backside guy tougher and we only got the one big run I showed as a cut back. I think our team has become the circle it game for run defenses. If you're going to prove yourself as a player to hold up vs the run, it's against us.

We still ran for like, 160 yards or something.

I saw him at our kids' bball game this past weekend. All the times I've seen him I have not once mentioned anything football. I figure he doesn't want to talk ball since it's his time away from the office. His wife is also there and I doubt she wants me to talk ball with him. Maybe one day I'll ask him, "hey did you want Mac Jones instead?"

Yeah, I agree with that... They're just there to watch a game and we shouldn't bother them with football unnecessarily.
The most I'd say to them is something like "Rooting for you guys this week, coach!

I saw Justin Smith at the Vegas airport, he got off the plane right next to my gate. I didn't want to bother him but I had his jersey in my luggage. :/
