IT did look like that on the replay... you can tell that RayRay was the DEEP POST target and that Kittle just happened to be at the right place at the right time..

but.. TDs a TD !!!

Shanny said that's why Brock first hesitated - the ball was thrown to kittle but it was was supposed to be a TD to Ray Ray. Either way - everyone did a great job on the play

Not sure about the game times but if some of those games are 10am games and decided by our kickoff, we have to consider resting starters. Walsh did it every year knowing that preserving players in week 17 was a key to the playoffs.

lol Bill Walsh retired from the Niners before the BYE week concept was introduced.

It's about resting during the final week of the season. Nothing to do with the bye week.

just pointing out that there was no WEEK 17 in Walsh's coaching tenure.

No WEEK 17 and Bill Walsh NEVER sat starters. Ever. He did not rest them. Starters did not play if they were nursing injuries. But that was the only reason.

This is not correct. I believe the year we won the Super Bowl, the last one with Montana we had a 10-6 record, we sat starters the last week and got destroyed by the Rams that last regular season game.
All that mattered is we won the SuperBowl.

and that loss knocked the Giants out of the playoffs.....SF ended up hosting Minnesota in the divisional round and blasted them in a revenge game from the year before.....then went up to wintry Chicago and gave a beat-down to the Bears in Soldier field.....28-3. The defense was outstanding, and Lott and Jeff Fuller just laid the lumber in the secondary. Just for good measure the next year (which was Montana's last championship season - '89), the 49'ers blasted Minnesota again in the divisional round.

Washington running back Brian Robinson looks like a future star.

And Singletary and Walter Payton were sent packing. A picture of Payton on the sidelines with his jacket and hood on and Walsh took his soul that day.

Kittle said RayRay told him he stole his TD LOL.
Was Heinecke actually benched or was it an injury? Don't see why they would bench him in that game.

Benched but he was getting roughed up. I don't know who their LT is but he was letting Bosa through when Wentz was in and he barely blocked him a few times.

He got pulled after he threw a perfect pass, to Jimmy Ward.
Still curious about that play before Washington's final touchdown, where it looked like it should've been an interception by the 49ers because it seemed the ball never touched the ground. Was screaming at the TV hoping that play would be looked at closer before the next snap.
so what happened to Jordan Mason exactly?
George f**king Kittle man just 🔥

Who is Jimmy Ward?

He's good
We won today but red zone offense, conservative play calling and this secondary are big problems. Any good QB with time to throw is going to torch this secondary.
