SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS vs WASHINGTON COMMANDERS - 2022 Game 15

They won this game like a team that knows how to do it. Opening the second half with quick scores shows this team is in for a run.

Either that or they were just flat and auto pilot today.

Better teams havents scored 20 on them in some time.

Its football, any given Sunday and all that. Washington was motivated to try to lock up a playoff spot and came out playing hard. 49ers still won by double digits in spite of all of that. That's what good teams do.

Might get another Motivated, but a lot less talented, team next week if the Raiders pull out a win tonight.

Definitely not on the offensive side.

Carr looked like hot garbage tonight.

They have more talent on offense. Jacobs/Adams/Renfo/Waller. Carr is like a roller coaster, he'll have a few good plays and a few wtf plays.

Eh, he seems to at least run hard. Sermon was a big guy for no reason. TDP runs like a guy that's 215+ pounds.
good thing raiders lost, they shouldn't be as motivated next week lol

Also less motivated fans means more available tickets.

Good win. If not for mistakes and missed opportunities who knows how many points we put up.

It's hard to overcome 69, the drive killer.

His play isn't bad but he's good for one or two motion penalties per game. Either that or a holding penalty.

At critical spots when we could be scoring TDs. His timing is impeccable.

Yeah, a great win, but MM is consistently taking these stupid penalties

Name them. Other than the two today, of course. Name these penalties that MM is "consistently committing."
69 has killed more drives this year than anyone on the offense dude maybe consistent stupid penalties os hyperbole but him giving up sacks, holds, false starts more than any other lineman on this team isn't

Again, name them! You can't do that, can you?

Before today's game, MM had six penalties called against him. For the entire 2022 season.

Trent Williams had five during the same period.

You want to look at sacks allowed next? You really want to go there?

MM is one of the best, if not the absolute best, right tackles in all of football. Period.

MM has 8 penalties......highest on the o-Line. Decent on run plays, crap on passing plays as he gets beat often, and statistically has the highest # of penalties this year.
Not sure what you are smoking, but MM is clearly NOT one of the best tackles in all of football.....PERIOD!

This. I don't think he's even a top 15 RT. Upgrading there should be the top priority this offseason.

Need to give him touches to see what he can do. The dude has barely touched the ball this year. Give him a chance. They did the same with sermon, gave up on a high pick way too quickly.

2 concerns of defense coming out of this…

1) Lenoir is a HUGE liability at corner for us. The guy can't press cover for his life and even when he plays back you always find him running at the receiver without turning his head because he seems to be burned. Heineke went after him early on but you can bet come playoffs any team that has a stout offensive line eg Eagles that can give their QB time to throw will attack Lenoir at every opportunity.

2) Huff is a good hitter but he still lacks in situation awareness. How many bad angles and whiffs did he have today ? He needs to focus less on hitting the guy as hard as he can and focus more on coverage. He was doing a better job in the beginning of the season but it seems for the last 2-3 weeks he's being caught in no man's land on several key plays.

Demeco has to coach these two up. Huff is an easier fix, but Lenoir is definitely going to be a problem come playoffs.

Gibson is also a problem. His deep coverage is a liability.

He is ranked #12 among RTs. (PFF)

Yea our secondary is suspect when the offense doesn't fear our dline. Even when our dline gets pressure there are some QBs like Heineke who don't gaf. They will stand in there until last second and deliver a strike. Surprised me a few times. Many times lesser QBs take off or throw errant passes

I hope a blue print wasn't created against our D. Even Wentz found some holes on his TD drive

I may be nitpicking but it's almost perfection season

Feels similar to our 2011-2012 defensive back issues that ended up costing us (IMO) a Superbowl
