This might be the game where Purdy throws for 300+ yards and multiple TDs.

its a great game for letting him air it out
rather him get 150 and enjoy the blowout win from the sidelines

I'd like us to get a blowout and rest but I'd also like Brock to get as many reps as possible before the post season. The more he plays, the better off we will be.

Deion is old and retired. Emann unfortunately had a season ending injury on turf earlier this season but was playing like a pro bowler before the injury. Verrett never even saw the field this season and we have no idea what he would have looked like if he did make it into a game.

I see zero chance the raiders get to 19. Jacobs will be botted up, Waller and Adams will be running 3 yard outs because that's all the time Stidham is going to gave. If they get to double digits, it'll be a garbage time score late. The whole raider team has seen the organization give up on the season, why should they play hard?
Sticking with 41-13.

Not going to disagree with you. You could be right. However, I will present the other side of the coin.

Not many players from the 1979 and 1980 49er teams praise Bill Walsh. A few do, and they are often quoted the most, but there are a great deal more who don't say anything at all about the man. That's because Walsh could be pretty tough when it came to motivation. He would tell them that if they refused to play hard for him, they would be cut. Furthermore, he told them it would end their careers in pro football because nobody would want to sign players from a 2-14 or 6-10 team. To further drive home this motivational message, Walsh would hold open tryouts during the 1979 season. A few players on the 49er roster were replaced by the "man on the street."

It was a brutal tactic, but Walsh was tasked with turning the team around. I could see Raiders coach Josh McDaniels using the same tactic in an attempt to motivate his team. So, you could possibly have a very motivated Raiders team on the field tomorrow.
Bang bang 9er gang!

I understand what you're saying. I would just add that in order to fully execute those kind of motivational strategies, you have to be a great coach. You have to be respected for your coaching at least - otherwise the players won't respect you.

Walsh & Belichick are notorious for these tactics (BB read Walsh's book) but they're also respected to a great degree in their field. It didn't work for McDaniels the first time around and I don't think it will this time, maybe for a year if he gets Brady or JG.
Go 49ers!

If your feet are lighter, you should be able to move them faster, right?

I've been saying the same thing, bro. I won't say we don't lose another game because I honestly don't know how Kyle plays the last 2, but we most certainly won't lose another meaningful game this year. #6 is coming home.
