Red Zone Offense under Purdy?

First, big fan of Purdy, and we are firing on most cylinders right now as a team. I am curious to know what the RZ Offense compares under Purdy? McG is a bumb and he screws us all the time, but imo we could have probably hung 50 on them.

You try playing with broken ribs.

The redzone offense has been exactly the same as it has been all season.

Broken ribs are a weird reason to have mental mistakes. I swear McGlinchey always has an excuse cooked up whenever he struggles.

I actually have broken ribs right now from mountain biking and I'm not gonna lie, I cannot even hug my kids without feeling pain. Cannot fathom how players can play with this kind of hurt!
I do think this is an important aspect of Purdy's game to monitor. With him, we have been scoring so many long TDs. In the playoff, scoring TD rather than FG will be critical to win games.

What I can remember is,
Vs Dolphins
- short TD pass to Juice
- TD pass to CMC
- There was another one prior to the TD pass to CMC, which CMC dropped. I considered that to be a TD for Purdy

Vs Bucs
- Purdy TD run

Vs Commanders
- late in the game, medium pass to Kittle to the one yard line, which we run it in on the next play

Overall, on some of the failed redzone drives, I don't think Kyle gave Purdy that many opportunities to throw.

Weird how ribs make you false start, or hold someone
How has our Red Zone offense been under shanny, period?

We were awful vs the Commanders, even discounting the penalties it didn't seem like we were even close.

I recall a ton of 'settle for the FG' series. I remember when we'd hit Bourne a lot on slant/post routes in the end zone, but I always felt like our predictable plays were getting sniffed out and leading to Gould punching one through.

We were in the top 5 last season. We are rank 25th this season.

scored 37 points.. should we not hit the open guys down field or have guys run out of bounds in the RZ instead of getting TDs... just so some can be cozy with a % lol

Do you have statistics on this? Based on watching the games and memory only, it appeared that our redzone play was much better than its been all season against the Dolphins, Seahawks and Bucs....and much worse than its been all season against the Redskins.

Do you have the stats on this to see if the above is accurate or not?

I'm going off what Shanahan himself said about the RZ offense from the Commanders game.

Not trying to be rude, but I'll take his word over "49AllTheTime".

Besides, that's what the topic of the thread is.

Kyle has to say something in these interviews .. in no way would Kyle give up points to call more plays in the RZ

the only way this is a real issue is if we are struggling to score points..and thats not the case
