What free agents do we have to pay to keep next year?

Here are the main ones, per Spotrac.

Jimmy Ward
Ebukam
Moseley
McGlinchey
Al-Shaair
Brunskill
Brendel
McKivitz (based on what happens with McG)
Gipson

There are about a dozen more that all see PT.

the guys in bold would be high priority.

underlined guys would be some sort of second tier priority.

Ward's versatility this year has brought him onto the "must sign" list, IMO. He's been making plays all over the field, including 3 picks.

I like J. Ward I just don't like his contract.

Even though I'm not a Trey Lance fan, I'd trade Trey Lance. If not this off season, next off season. I feel he's the only one that can recoup any meaningful draft picks without hurting continuity.

Other than Trey Lance, the 49ers need to keep as much of the team together as possible.

What are our players trade value in your opinion?

Moseley may be a little cheaper due to injury.

I think Drake will replace Ebukam next year

If we re-sign Ward will be surplus unless he's taking a smaller deal or Gipson goes elsewhere. Womack/Lenoir are cheaper in the slot.

MM/Brunskill/Mckivitz will be tied together. McKivitz is an RFA so we'll keep him, One of MM or Brunskill will go imo.

DL depth will be interesting. Omen, Hurst, Willis, Ridgeway all ufa with Ebukam possibly leaving. Givens is a rfa so likely retained.

Al-Shaair I think will get a decent offer elsewhere.

Brendel will be an easy re-sign if there's no upgrade available. Don't think he'll ask for too much.

Tricky off season.

You don't say. Even though I'm not a McGlinchey fan. I'd let that dude walk this off-season.

Thanks for the info!

Aren't Bosa and Greenlaw up for a new contract too?

Bosa is eligible and will probably get extended this off season. Greenlaw just signed an extension this year for 2 more seasons.

Bill Walsh had the belief that you trade the players on the down side a year or so early rather than later. If we go far in the post season we would have lower picks. Who could you replace with a lower 4-5 yr rookie contract? Armstead, MM, Debo, Ward, etc. JG saves us 10-12 m in salary cap that helps paying Bosa + 1 or 2 other players. You keep Trey & Purdy that is 10m for two QBs for 3-5 more yrs. I would listen to offers but we are not in a salary crunch yet.
Bosa three 1's, 2, 3 with some playing time escalators.
Kittle 1st, 2nd.
Trent 1st.
Fred 1st.
AA 2nd.
Azeez 3rd
Greenlaw late 1st early 2nd.
Deebo/aiyuk 1st.
Purdy conditional 4th.
Lance conditional picks, maybe some fringe players they want to target.

I think you mean comprehending.
It would all be speculation anyway. Any player is worth only what another team is willing to pay. Age, accomplishments, team needs, or your willingness to give up said player, etc etc.........,
