Bosa is Bosa. CMC coming was a nice piece of work by the FO. He helped fire up the offense. However, as I look around at how abysmal QB play is with 2nd and 3rd string QBs, Purdy is the only possible vote. Just when everyone thought the air had gone out of the balloon, Purdy pumped it back up again.

Would be Russ and the Broncos for me. Never seen a fall like this from an individual standpoint in Russ, and just the overall disappointment the Broncos have been as a team.

The 3rd string QB out performing the other two duds.

Too easy. No one saw Purdy coming off the bench to make headlines for the national media.
I was at that game and saw it!

Purdy could be the story of the long-term future though, which is why everyone's eyes are on him. And Bosa? Well, that's the story of the present AND future right there. DPOY and a massive extension this offseason? Yes please!
Totally agree with CMC trade. A 26 year old on his prime that was made available and we managed to get. One of many's favorite coming out of college and we got him. Unbelievable get for sure.

Got it. National media, sure. But for you, Purdy? He's the STORY the last month, recency bias, no? Maybe remove Purdy then lol!
Maybe change it too 3rd string QB with no drop off in play. That hits full season.
The numbers may show Purdy and JG on equal ground but the eye test shows an improvement at the position. That pass Kittle "intercepted" traveled 45 yards in the air. Gotta love the pocket awareness too. If the improved play continues through the postseason, wrap that trophy up and send it to Santa Clara.

Bosa's not a story... He's inevitable.

and trades for superstar players happen every season. Last pick rookie QB coming in to play well has never happened in the history of ever.

No wrong answer for sure and the question was your favorite story so far this season and it's hands down, it's Purdy. But Bosa's chase for season sack immortality and DPY after a couple of seasons were he was hampered by an injury or two let alone an ACL in 2020 is special in itself. This year he missed a couple, but he seems to be more explosive than before and He has put up one of the most impressive season by a 49er defensive player in a long time. As for the trade, sure it happens every year. Some of us complain that other teams like the Rams seems to get the marquee names and we as fans grumbled that Lynch didn't do enough to get player A or player B. Well that worked out for them last year even though they will be paying for it the next few years. The addition of CMC simply brought another dimension that Shanys been wishing for from his running back. It's coincidence that the offense got better overall when he came aboard even though Mitchell and now Deebo missed significant time. He's been the X factor in this offense.

The whole season is recent
Purdy, because he is saving the season by not being a typical 3rd stringer. They haven't had a drop off from Jimmy. CMC is doing anything he hasn't been able to do in the past, but getting him has been incredible so far. Bosa, he so outstanding, but this wasn't a surprise

Good question. There's an obvious one but I'd have to say acquiring CMC is the obvious second.
