Definitely a 3rd string QB saving our season with a real possibility of winning a SB.

Bosa is doing exactly what thought he was capable of.
Purdy, however

I'd say the addition of CMC taking a triple crown against the Rams in his first start is more exciting than a 3rd string quarterback looking good but the fact Purdy is mr irrelevant with a chance of winning a superbowl makes it my favorite story.
Purdy has the chance to create sports history in the likes of Ali beating Sony Liston or the Miracle On Ice

Would be Russ and the Broncos for me. Never seen a fall like this from an individual standpoint in Russ, and just the overall disappointment the Broncos have been as a team.
I dont care for Russ but him failing is a terrible story for 9er fans makes Pete Carrol who I despise look great plus it gave the Seahawks a top 5 pick smh

Brock Purdy is the best thing about this season. Despite many awesome others. We may have our young QB of the future. Just not the guy we traded all the picks for. It's obvious he can play. He's not a fluke. The 4 years starter at Iowa State really helped him. He reads the field well. Understands the defense. Gets the ball out quick. Throws an accurate ball with a nice tight spiral. He's athletic enough to buy some time outside the pocket. His upside is huge I think. He's already good.

The very fact that we are enjoying these 3 stories IS the story.
Add side stories like Jake Brendal at center with the young guards, Mooney Ward at corner, Hufanga as a Pro Bowl Safety, our LB core and the fact that Deebo has stepped down the ladder without harming our offense?
This is my favorite 49ers team since the '80's.
Just hope it turns out like '81 or '84 and not like '87.

You make a good point there, it shouldn't surprise anyone what Bosa is doing. He's not only lived up to his #2 draft status you could argue he's lived up to #1 overall status.
Purdy on the other hand is making all the QB's that were in the 2022 NFL Draft look silly. He's playing unbelievably better than Kenny Pickett the only QB selected in the 1st round.
