Ok
Definitely the most "rookie" that Purdy has looked, but he kept his poise in that last drive in the 4th. Hoping he learns from this game.

Was surprised we couldn't pressure Stidham, his pocket was clean most of the day. There was some knocks against Stidham,. first start and all, but he was Brady's backup in NE and was mentored by Belichick for 3 years. He is legit. I'd love to get the top seed, I'll take #2 though.

He got beat to hell though...right after the throw.

Viking were expected to lose that game

Yeah, although stressful, I have no issues with the game, I like the struggle, it should prepare the steam for the playoffs
like the struggle too, but BCB worried me. today was the BCB we were warned about (multiple bad decisions and weaker arm). he didn't fold though and kept on battling. idk what to expect from BCB at this point, but these flaws are real.

Wtf you talking about?
who is BCB?

Not a good game by either side of the ball, but they got it done at least. Doesn't bode well for the playoffs if we struggle to beat a QB making his first start. I think we can now officially close the door on all talk of winning a Super Bowl this year.

Whoah there, jury is still out.

Either the Raiders laid the blueprint for beating the 9ers D and forcing BCB mistakes... or we just witnessed our D and rookie QB overcome adversity just enough to survive and to grow off of.

I think we saw just enough from our D and QB to give us confidence going into the playoffs. Brock scared the bejesus out of me tonight but somehow he was still good enough and made enough positive plays to pull us through.

I think it's a combo of maybe the D out partying (speculation), taking advantage of our weak spots on defense (Huff and Lenoir), as well as we've proven we can be vulnerable to deep passes and running QBs. The latter two have been problems either all year (giving up the big plays) or a few years (running QBs). In 2019 and 2021, we didn't see as much of this, but we also didn't see the turnovers. The one big difference is that our 2022 offense scores big plays of their own, so it doesn't burn us as bad. Gotta hope we can keep up the scoring on offense and minimize these mistakes on defense. We'll be facing the best teams, the best offenses, and the best QBs. I imagine they'd go right at Lonoir and Huff.

Imagine spending a gazillion dollars and resources on the defense over the past 6 years. No closers.
Lol, they've been dominant for the majority of the season. One game doesn't make a trend

Bosa with the pressure that pushed the OT into Stidham who then short armed the ball for an INT looked like it closed the game to me. Did it not?

How many other times this season has Bosa closed games with a sack, strip fumble?

I thought Purdy crushed it and besides that INT (late throw) thay he played AWESOME!

defense had a tough feeling. They need to regroup

Yeah. Every QB has flaws. It's the coaches job to work around that.

Just venting. It's game day thread and they s**t the bed today but closed it out.

Bosa with the game winning pressure by plowing the OL into Stidham. Unfortunately that won't show up on the stat sheet.
I love our last play that was tipped to BA. Had Kittle wide open for a TD, somehow the right side didn't block their guys.
