Yeah, although stressful, I have no issues with the game, I like the struggle, it should prepare the steam for the playoffs
like the struggle too, but BCB worried me. today was the BCB we were warned about (multiple bad decisions and weaker arm). he didn't fold though and kept on battling. idk what to expect from BCB at this point, but these flaws are real.

Wtf you talking about?
who is BCB?

Bad Caucasian Brock?

Not a good game by either side of the ball, but they got it done at least. Doesn't bode well for the playoffs if we struggle to beat a QB making his first start. I think we can now officially close the door on all talk of winning a Super Bowl this year.

Whoah there, jury is still out.

Either the Raiders laid the blueprint for beating the 9ers D and forcing BCB mistakes... or we just witnessed our D and rookie QB overcome adversity just enough to survive and to grow off of.

I think we saw just enough from our D and QB to give us confidence going into the playoffs. Brock scared the bejesus out of me tonight but somehow he was still good enough and made enough positive plays to pull us through.

I think it's a combo of maybe the D out partying (speculation), taking advantage of our weak spots on defense (Huff and Lenoir), as well as we've proven we can be vulnerable to deep passes and running QBs. The latter two have been problems either all year (giving up the big plays) or a few years (running QBs). In 2019 and 2021, we didn't see as much of this, but we also didn't see the turnovers. The one big difference is that our 2022 offense scores big plays of their own, so it doesn't burn us as bad. Gotta hope we can keep up the scoring on offense and minimize these mistakes on defense. We'll be facing the best teams, the best offenses, and the best QBs. I imagine they'd go right at Lonoir and Huff.

Not having a deep drive coming out of the halftime. I also think it's a flaw that sometimes plague's KS.
Listened to the game while driving from Sacramento to LA. Stopped for gas now,and just wanted to say, I like how the offense got a game where they had to make up for weaker defense. Sounds like Purdy stayed calm and helped drive the team down for the game winning FG, even if Gould missed it.

Raiders had the type of offense that often gives SF fits - mobile QB who extends plays, great run blocking and a RB, and what sounds like an insane max effort game from Adams.

Glad the team was tested in this way. Better to have one of these before the playoffs. Hope they play a much cleaner game in a W next week.

If you don't want Purdy to keep starting at this point.. idk what to tell you. That isn't a knock on anyone - the kid is just an awesome QB.

I think he balled out, and he didn't even have a very good game, should be great learning for him

Huh? I DO want Purdy to keep starting at this point.

That said, the flaws in his scouting report (poor decision making, arm strength) reared their ugly heads today. These flaws have been known for years so they are real and need to be corrected or managed.

Don't forget it, the team needed to experience this, every game in the playoffs is going to be like this

This. It reminded me of the Saints game in 2019. Just like then, they found a way to dig it out. It wasn't pretty, but when they absolutely needed to, they made the plays to win.

Championship teams dont need to be champions all the time, just when they need to be
Purdy is a rookie so of course there will be times he will struggle.

be glad he didn't fold.
Purdy showed his veteran skills tonight 😏. We should all be excited about what we saw from a tight game like this

Yeah the 49ers are the only team that ever struggled against a lesser opponent. They're unique in that way.

What matters is that they found a way to win in the end. That's what you need for the playoffs.

I don't think he had a perfect game but he had a damn good game. Not perfect but without our potent offense - we lose this game. He has stuff to improve on, but played really well

Yeah, those horrid throws to Kittle were a true sign of a savvy vet. Oh wait…..

Arizona should be an easier game…right…right?

Well - in theory haha. To be fair, the Raiders were still alive for the playoffs and have some players - they've found a lot of ways to lose ball games, though. We shall see. @ 3-4 - how many folks had SF finishing potentially with 10 straight W's for the regular season? I didn't.
3-4?

They were 3-4

One thing I'm not happy about during OT. I wanted the TD punched in vs a FG attempt!

+1 glad he didn't fold. did just enough to eek out the W.

And you'd be throwing a fit if we did that and fumbled it.

The FG, especially from that distance, was the right call.

Lol I can't believe the niners almost lose or lose
To any team they play in the NFL. Every game should be a blowout and we should completely neutralize our opponent everygame
