1. Who got him the ball? Some gusty accurate throws contributed to that.

2. 2 drops as well.

Everyone made mistakes today. Aiyuk, Trent Williams, Purdy, the entire defense, etc...

I honestly think this team was out partying in Vegas for NYE last night. No joke. That's what it looked like to me.

Why not give LV credit? They had a QB we weren't ready for, and they played well.

It wasn't ugly football out there by any means.
I think if you search you will find that I did give them credit. Regardless, our defense did not play to it's standard. Would you argue that they did?

Also, there was some ugly football out there. Some really ugly blown coverages. Yes they had some great contested catches also. But let's not delude ourselves here. There was some ugly play by the secondary too. And the run D.

Now that the game is over I must say our fanbase kinda sucks. We are rolling with a 3rd string QB who came up clutch multiple times. Our defense falters and it's doom and gloom. That 49ersring should be banned. So much negativity. Some fans say we'll be one and done but in the same day we actually move up a seed! Great things happened today
Did anyone see Kinlaw take some snaps today?

Purdy showed his veteran skills tonight 😏. We should all be excited about what we saw from a tight game like this

Yeah, those horrid throws to Kittle were a true sign of a savvy vet. Oh wait…..

Which one?

The one where Kittle run the wrong route?
The two throws he dropped (one for a TD)?
The contested catch he couldn't make like the top-3 TE he's supposed to be?

To me it was Kittle who had an awful game.

Now we're attacking the veteran stars of the team to prop up a rookie?

Kilt tile and BA were average today.

Average despite having 100 yards receiving and a TD lol. Even the drops in this game were (with a few exceptions) all on bad throws.
You are strangely hard on any QB not named Lance.

Lance hasn't done anything to be hard on him about other than get injured and there's no point in being hard on a guy who isn't playing and doesn't have enough of a sample size to critique.

Purdy is currently the QB, so of course he's going to get more criticism. Overall, he's played well, but this place doesn't handle any criticism of QBs well.

Their sample size is pretty much the same...Even when Lance was the starter you never criticized his game. I have no problem with our QBs games being critiqued but you 100% have a bias.

While I don't disagree about his/her negativity, not sure it's fair to just call them out to be banned while not even responding to them. Just put them on mute and move on.

You missed this one. LOL

Except Gipson.

Doubling down?

Defense has been great, one bad game doesn't make your post right, just wrong as usual lol

Lol. Just one?

You missed the whole joke. Gipson was the one guy they picked up off the streets. Our closer. LOL

more games won in the NFC vs. the Vikings or something? how's that tie breaker work

That's correct.

  1. Head-to-head, if applicable.
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
  4. Strength of victory in all games.
  5. Strength of schedule in all games.
  6. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  7. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games.
  8. Best net points in conference games.
  9. Best net points in all games.
  10. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  11. Coin toss.

We didn't play Minnesota this year, so head to head is out.

The Vikings have lost 4 games this year, all NFC games (Philadelphia, Dallas, Detroit, and Green Bay)

We also have 4 losses, two to AFC teams (Denver and Kansas City) and two to NFC teams (Atlanta and Chicago).

As a result of that, we beat them on conference record, and win the tiebreaker.

Why do we feel the need to beat a player down to prop another up? There was a lot of sloppy play by quite a few offensive players and we still put up 37 points. Defense didn't play that well but still managed to come away with 2 turnovers. One of which put the game away.

You could tell it was just going to be one of those games. It was inevitable Gould missed the FG.
it seems like it was only last year when we were a 3-4 team.

Their standard is probably somewhat exaggerated in this era of Free Agency.

They're a great defense in this era. They give up big plays, but they also get you the ball back, and they're generally stingy.

The breakdowns seen today vs. a QB they werent ready for wasn't surprising. Great defense but dont overrate them to think they're invincible.

I mean hell, who is our 2nd corner, even?

If you don't want Purdy to keep starting at this point.. idk what to tell you. That isn't a knock on anyone - the kid is just an awesome QB.

He is the best one we have

The NFL Gods tried their best to make us lose, but we overcame them.

Because he can catch a punt?

Him and Hufs inability to cover are the teams biggest issue at the moment.
