  • Sunday January 8, 2023; kickoff time TBD
Pray for the Giants.
How does the NFL usually handle the scheduling of time in Week 18?
Will they simply do the east coast games at 10am, and the west coast games at 1pm?

Or will they make the 49ers, Eagles, Vikings, and Cowboys play at the same time?

Because it's going to be very interesting to see how Shanahan handles things if the Eagles play the 10am PST game and we play the 1pm PST game.

I have a strong feeling JJ Watt, in his career finale, will be going up against McG.
Can we finally get a stressful free game before the playoffs?

Yeah. I hope they ask the scoreboard operator to not display the Eagles game score then, so the players can focus.

This is an entertainment league and not a sports league so they will add to suspense by having all games dependent upon others play at the same time so that everything is up for grabs at kickoff. This is about eyeballs and dollar revenue
it's for sure on sunday?

Just going off what I see on NFL site. I am positive they will move 49ers to Sunday. What the NFL does not want is, if the 49ers lose a Saturday game, PHI rests everyone on their Sunday game.

True.
Largely, it looks like in the NFC alone, it's the #7 seed and then the #1 seed (NFC East too) that's up for grabs.
Makes sense to have the Seahawks, Packers, Lions play in the morning to determine the #7 seed, and then the #1 seed contenders in the afternoon.
Tune up game.

This is one of those things that could easily change with one pass… especially in deep middle and deep right.
