That would knock Cincy out of the chance at #1. While giving KC control of it's own destiny.

Exactly why I don't see a tie being an option for either team.

there is no way they are going to suspend entire week of football. Bengals and bills will have to complete their game sometime this week as well...guessing Wednesday/. Perhaps some players will not want to play which is completely understandable and should be excused.

This is my prediction. I see them pushing the regular season back a week. With Bills/Cincy playing Saturday. Eliminating the pro bowl. No week off before the Superbowl.

I think they need the week off before the SB it gets everyone as close to 100% possible which is what the NFL wants
I have no idea whats going to happen. In a perfect world the entire season moves back 1 week but i dont think they can move the SB back a week.

This is a crazy situation. I think CIN should "good faith forfeit", and get a huge morale and image boost going into the playoffs.

Moving the SB is probably out of the question. All the preparations along with hotel reservations and plane flights. It would be a logistical nightmare.

Under the circumstances, if they can't come up with a reasonable solution then they could just do a coin toss to decide the final seeding. Not perfect but they my not have a better choice. The other options would be head to head with like opponents and conference records.

I just don't see that happening

i dont think its fair to ask Cin or Buffalo to forfeit the game. It would be completely different if one of these teams were not in the playoffs but both these teams could get #1 seed

I predict the Bills will eventually agree to forfeit the game as I suspect their players hearts will be too heavy to play any time soon. They'll sacrifice their seeding but the eventual motivation to play for Hamlin may be a far greater advantage when all is said and done.

One solution is to declare the game a tie or even disregard it, add another wildcard team and eliminate the AFC bye. Doesn't effect regular season schedule at all. KC would lose the chance at a bye, but it improves their chances at getting home field throughout. Cincy probably the biggest loser as they would have to win next week to be division champs, but could structure so that Bills and Cincy would definitely be on the same side of the bracket and if they meet, the game would be in Cincy regardless of seeding. Kind of evens things out.

Edit: Only AFC side effected. No extra NFC wildcard

LOL at either team forfeiting this game. Once the real life issue is addressed, (prayers for Damar!) it will be business as usual. The NFL asking these teams to forfeit would be another black eye for the league and cause a HUGE issue among the other owners and teams.
Bills vs Bengals-- paper, scissor, rock-- best 2 out of 3. Done!

No Contest.

Both teams get into the playoffs using their current records and it would be like it was before the league added another week. Then move on to the final week of football.

No other way to do this.

Sums it up perfectly ! We want 3. We want 3…

We still own the Packers. We own Rodgers. Were in his head. That soft defense will be shredded yet again by our run game. I would welcome a matchup with GB.

Plus no Davante Adams.

After the Raiders game it is hard to argue with that point! Rogers was underwhelming that last playoff game (and certainly our playoff game the previous year). Adams was the problem.

That's the explanation. There was no tape on this guy so it was impossible to gameplan against this team. DeMeco and company had to guess, and they guessed wrong. The logical guess was that McDaniels would take the conservative approach and lean on Jacobs and get the ball out quickly and that's what we game planned for.
What we got was a McDaniels statement game. He just got rid of their franchise QB and needed to show everyone that his new QB has the goods.

If we played this team again, we would blow them out of the water.

We have years of tape on Greenbay and Rodgers.
