Sums it up perfectly ! We want 3. We want 3…

We still own the Packers. We own Rodgers. Were in his head. That soft defense will be shredded yet again by our run game. I would welcome a matchup with GB.

Plus no Davante Adams.

After the Raiders game it is hard to argue with that point! Rogers was underwhelming that last playoff game (and certainly our playoff game the previous year). Adams was the problem.

It's actually been their defense that's been stepping up lately.
I think the Eagles create the most complications for us (assuming Hurts is healthy) so the best outcome is to destroy the Cardinals and hope the Eagles lose so we get the #1 seed and force the Eagles to play in the first round.

Giants may lay down this week since they are firmly set on the 6th seed. (NYG vs PHI this Sunday)

I hope they just destroy the Cards, so they can rest the starters. My main concern is sitting CMC, Purdy and Bosa. I'm sure Jordan Mason, Tevin Coleman and TDP could put a hurt on the Cards.

Dammit.

The Athletic's Dan Duggan believes the Giants will rest their starters in Week 18 against the Eagles.

The Giants' playoff seeding won't change with a win or a loss to the Eagles after they clinched a postseason spot last week against the Colts. "The benefit of resting players is obvious. The Giants have nothing tangible to gain from a win, while keeping top players on the sideline will shield them from potential injury," Duggan said. "The benefits of going all-out to win on Sunday are strictly intangible. [Head coach Brian] Daboll is still in the early stages of instilling a culture that is centered on competitiveness. Treating a regular season game like an exhibition seems to run counter to that ethos." Daboll comes from a Buffalo coaching staff that regularly rested starters in meaningless regular season finales. If Daboll rests starters in Week 18, we can expect Gary Brightwell and Matt Breida to split backfield work with Saquon Barkely on the sideline. Tyrod Taylor would probably start for Daniel Jones, and reserve receivers like Marcus Johnson and Kenny Golladay could get extended playing time.

Wonder if last night had an impact on this decision. I thought I heard they were planning on playing the starters this weekend.

Well looks like #2 is what we get.

Agree. Seems the probable outcome unfortunately as they are most likely looking at a matchup against us in the first round either way. They are going to need to be as healthy as possible.

Edit: Bad Info. This would require us to be the 3# seed. Possible but not most likely.

Yep. Best outcome.

Along this line... beating the Raiders on Sunday forced the Eagles to test Hurts this week instead of allowing him a better recovery plan.

Yup. Don't count on them to win, they have nothing to play for beyond bragging rights.

It helps that the Cards best defender in Budda Baker is out. If they can jump on Arizona early, the Cards players might be in offseaso mode by halftime.

Kittle would enjoy that news

Yep. Best outcome.

I think the 49ers will have eyes monitoring the PHI/NYG game and if PHI starts to run away with the game, 49ers starters will get pulled mid-game.

Oh that's right. MIN plays the early game so if they beat CHI then 49ers will go all out. If MIN loses, then the scenario I posted above about keeping an eye on the NYG/PHI might apply.

Hoping they win the first round of playoffs then play Eagles and get their ass whooped.
