You need a storyline for an otherwise boring game that's likely gonna end up a blowout. They were doing the halftime show during the Fox broadcast yesterday, and the crew had no clue what to say so Howie took a stab and made a quick comment that "the 49ers offense started out slow"….then he had a blank stare so they shifted to Strahan and he put it straight "no team wants to face the 49ers in the playoffs and that's all I have to say". The crew chuckled and went to break.

of all the games this weekend, this is the most obvious and boring. Even as fans we are psyching ourselves out by thinking Pete is gonna find a way to fool us or confuse this offense. I don't think it's gonna be close TBPH…

Yes. The team that won the first two games went onto win the 3rd game 67% of the time.

The letdown after 2 games stuff is pretty much from regular season matchups in other sports.

It just rarely happens in football (the matchup, that is) and when it does, the stakes are hugely high and there's generally no room for a letdown.

Hawks fans are feeling positive.

Seems like a lot of them are putting stock in the "close" TNF game where Purdy didn't throw until game day and we were down Deebo & Mitchell. And evidently we're due to lose.

Yeah the "three times" fear is strange to me. History and experience say the opposite. If we had won the earlier games as the result of lucky plays, fine, be worried, but we were/are clearly better.
