SF 49ERS vs Seahawks Pregame thread - 2022 Wild Card Round

I'm never too confident. In 1987 the 49ers had the #1 offense and defense in the NFL but lost to the Vikings. Anthony Carter had the game of his life, falling down and making juggling catches to upset the 49ers. The worst loss of Coach Walsh's career.

Exactly, you'll never know how it'll turn out. Nothing is guaranteed.

Kind of like that Ravens Superbowl where Joe Flacco was just throwing up balls for grabs, yet somehow Boldin always came down with them.

As fans it means zero what we think. We can be as confident as we want because we aren't playing the game.

I'm sure the players are taking this seriously and not getting over confident.

I think it's fantastic they are able to get some practice in during this rainy and wet weather. It will make a difference.
wet field advantage to receivers, if BCB can grip the ball well he should have a good day

Agreed. I've always wondered why some cold weather teams don't practice out in the cold to better simulate game time conditions. Glad it rained today for the 49ers practice. Beats spraying the players with a hose to simulate rain.

Nothing is guaranteed. Any given Sunday. Etc. All true. However, in 1987, the Vikings were playing at a high level at the end of the year and was clearly the better team based on their performance entering the playoffs.
Ball hitting the ground only once, Brock bringing us back to late 80's practices

Depends on how cold it is. Practicing outside in the cold can lead to a lot of extra fatigue and wear on the body as you get below 32F.
