i watch the game at my local niner bar, and when the forum goes down i freak out and dont know what to do with my hands. i get forced to talk to people in person….hard as an introvert lol

But if I talked in the bar like I do on the forum during Game Day, they may call the cops on me.
Time today does this crash? Any guesses?

I wish I had more time to spend in the forums. Haven't been a regular in many, many years. I'm sure there is a solution. I may look into closing the forums to guests viewers on game days for next season or things like the draft if this is an issue. Again, I'm not sure. This is the first I have heard of it this season, since we moved to a new heavy-duty server in September.

I'm glad you guys enjoy the forums, though. I've fought to keep them around over the past few years.

This, IMO, is the best 49ers forum on the internet. Losing it would be a massive loss.

It absolutely is, content wise.

Format wise it's archaic and rudimentary. Kinda like the Geocities of forums. For this reason, and performance--I'd be on board with a mass exodus if the community could remain intact.

Right when Brock throws the game winning TD on 3rd and 3 from the 6yd line to win 28-27.
haven't noticed it crash all week like it did the prior week, so hopefully the issues have been ironed out somewhat. Probably have some short delays but hopefully nothing like last week.

Would anyone come to the Webzone if not for the forums?

I doubt very many come here for the articles .

It only crashes during the game when it's overloaded.

I've seen forums pull a mass exodus to a new forum (the whole NeoGAF/ResetERA was insane how quickly it was pulled off).

It's not an easy thing to do, and it takes a lot of time and effort to ensure everything goes 100% smoothly.

I've been here since 2005, and I'd hate to see this account go away (pretty sure this is my oldest active account I still use).

I suspect it's going to crash during the game again. Much higher amount of users during the game.

I meant content from members. edit: I've been a member of online forums for decades, so to me--the members are the show. They're the reason I'm here.

Some people put a ton of effort into their posts and have volumes of football knowledge they share.

I don't have time to educate myself to that level so I rely on the wide-ranging opinions and observations from people who know more. Pretty much everything I know, above the basics, I learned here.

All the news aggregation is appreciated for sure, but I end up getting all the links from various sources anyhow.

No biggie if it does, can't get a word in anyways with everyone posting at the same time.
